Definitely a chill in the air today 🥶 Just been for a glorious morning sea swim and now heading out to meet a friend for brunch. Hope you all have a happy Sunday. I will be adding a bobble hat when I leave the house.

Morning! It seems cold this morning - so I’ve gone with a thicker jumper.

Just going for my Dgrandfather 95th Bday lunch 🎉

I'm still on the hunt for a cocktail dress suitable outfit, I probably need to give myself a shake bit everything feels bla to me. This jumpsuit is the ghost M&S collaboration it would crease like anything so is going back.

With an old M&S coat really think it's looking dated it needs to be longer to be fashionable.

@EllaPaella I have given in and bought some ugg type boots from tkmaxx for after swimming. I swam today and it was quite choppy, feel all at peace with the world!

My outfit after swimming wasn’t really worth posting. Black leggings, ls T-shirt with a sleeveless longer jumper over the top.

Ah that's fantastic @Softpebbles - do you swim in the sea? I had a lovely early morning dip today too, very calm water here but ever so chilly compared with Devon last week 🥶
Uggs are amazing for warming your feet up when you get out, you won't regret that purchase!

@EllaPaella lakes. Today was a different one to usual, I have swam there once before but it is just beautiful. It was warmer than my usual haunt at 12'c, my usual place has dropped to 8'c now!

Ooof 8°! That really is chilly, do you wear a wetsuit? The sea here is 11° now and I find that i can really only stay in for ten mins in just my costume. I don't really want to wear a wetsuit as it's the thrill of getting into the cold water that I love and gives me a high. I am wearing socks and gloves though which helps a lot.

@EllaPaella yes I wear a wetsuit albeit only a thin one. I’ve looked at thicker ones but I think as it drops it will become more of a dip.

I’m hoping to try skins next year 🤞🏻

Why does fatface have such an awful name? I bought these trousers last year and when I got home with the bag my husband laughed and said surely calling your shop fatface is a corporate suicide? Dunno, they seem to be doing well.

Talking of Sweaty Betty... Monday is now my weekly attempt at exercise day, so I'm off to the gym whilst DD has her swimming lesson later.

Leggings : Sweaty Betty 7/8 Powers - these are the BEST gym/running leggings. I have 4 pairs.
Top : Sweaty Betty Explorer I think? Long sleeve and bought in the sale.
Cropped sleeve hoodie : Sweaty Betty...really versatile and a nice fleecy feel

Everything is old except socks which are new and have a handy L and R to keep me right. Who knew socks had correct feet?!

Dreadful nights sleep. I read an entire book!

Fatface have been around since I was a teenager (I'm 42 now) and they used to be a brand directed at surfers. Fat face is a surfing term - a type of wave. But agree a crap name for a clothing label 😂

Sorry been mostly laid up with a bad back - I'm pretty sure it my disks rather than muscle as it's a different kind of pain.

@EllaPaella Ah thank you! That explains it, although I do think rebrand might help. I have a Fatface next to my work and there's literally never a surfer dude to be seen!

@Shannith wow I'm very jealous of your charity finds! Nothing like that here - I saw a nice COS jumper once at a local charity shop and it was £25. I really miss north American thrift stores. They can be amazing

Re:long sleeve tees, I like the crew neck ones from Cos. I wear them as pyjama tops as they are so soft. Arket has nice ones too.

Saint and Sofia Greenwich tiered midi dress and Fairfax and Favor ankle boots.

New brown/mousy colour poloneck knit from Stories. It's lovely and cosy and (I like to think) slightly stylish.
Am though wearing it with my usual work-at-home staples of some old Gap leggings in grey and a longline top underneath, with Nordic socks. Am contemplating legwarmers; it's chilly.

@Sooverthemill I like the super thin (not the plus thicker versions) M&S / Uniqlo heatgen tops under jumpers / cardis - they are very good at regulating temperature so you don't overheat

Gap do some fairly thin long-sleeve tees – well, thick enough to wear alone, but I find them thin enough for under winter knits.

Hush too. And I've discovered Kettlewell Colours: lots of different colours, fabrics and necklines. Again I'm not sure they're super-thin.

Passed by my favourite charity shop and got these jumpers for £2 each and the boots for £4.
