I’m hoping I’ve been here long enough to be allowed to start the new thread. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s outfits as we move into my favourite fashion season.

@Softpebbles where did you sell your boots? I have a couple of pairs of boots to sell, which are lovely just too narrow for me (ankle boots)

I might sell me yellow doc martins as I never wear them. They aren't immaculate though so I wonder if anyone would have them

Really not sure about long skirts on me - I kind of want to run and get back into my jeans

I’m trying to do a “love it or list it” with my wardrobe and wear everything then decide whether to re-home or keep. So I will see how I’m feeling about the skirt by the end of the day and it might go on Vinted if I decide it’s a no.

Thanks @Softpebbles. I have a reasonable amount of luck with Vinted but you do need to list stuff cheap - people aren’t prepared to pay much even for decent stuff

@KiteflyingKat I'm the same with long skirts. I nearly wore one today but I don't feel tall enough. Which is daft as I'm 5.6. I like them best with trainers or heeled boots. Very warm today but not quite enough for bare legs and trainers, andI just can't wear my many heeled boots much anymore as I'm old and prefer comfort so I went short. Also determined to wear this skirt which I bought on a whim a few weeks ago.

Jumper - mango

Skirt - it's vintage and I can't remember what brand and I'm out so can't wiggle it round to see
Tights - wolford - best tights ever. These must be 7-8 years old.

@KiteflyingKat I like the long skirt. I have ordered a midi skirt as I always love @EllaPaella in her hush one. I’ll find a picture. It’s arrived but I’m not sure, in my head with a chunky knit and black boots it looks great 😳

I'd welcome some help with outfit 1. I always get in a pickle with what to wear over a shirt. I'm big into cardigans but after years of trying am forced to conclude they cannot be made to work over checked/striped shirts. (The more masculine type of shirt that I favour).

Jumpers seem to emphasize the collar and look a bit. I don't know... weekend dad?

Is the answer always a blazer? I have two and would love to wear them more but cannot seem to make them casual....

This thread has made me realise how much black (and dark colours in generally) I wear! I think I need to jazz up my outfits a bit!
I'm also using the bathrooms at work for my photos

So many great outfits...and all so different. @KiteflyingKat you really suit that look. @Softpebbles I am now going upstairs to try a jumper over my Stitchfix dress...you look lovely. @CoraggioCaraI I really like how you style your jeans and boots.@Pigtailsandall I find slinging a blazer over most tiered dresses makes them work better for me.Taking photos has made me realise I wear a lot of leopard print.
Went in M&S today and came home with some slim fit jeans and ordered some wide legged ones which I love.Bought the wide legged ones in short or they would have been trailing on the ground which is how I used to wear them in my 20s.Feel I have enough winter clothes now so might spend some time sorting my wardrobe this weekend.

@CoraggioCara I hear you with the jumper over shirts and weekend dad vibes. I can never work out what to wear with shirts that's not a blazer so go with that most times.

The way you've done it with the coral jumper saves it. Mind you I deliberately do the weekend dad look because I live in the country (ish) and sometimes want to channel...Jilly Cooper. I accept this is not a look most aspire to.

I just bought a Dennis Basso coat in a charity shop for £10. I don't need a coat but it spoke to me. Photo when I get back. Oh and a sequin top because... yeah I don't really need sequins to muck out the horse but something non muddy in me rebelled.

I'm feeling ill and had a positive rapid test, I did a PCR on Tuesday ( which came back as inconclusive) DD tested positive on Sunday, so I'll be surprised if I don't have Covid again 🙄. So didn't get dressed until 2pm but did take a photo so that's dedication to fashion for you 😉
