I’m hoping I’ve been here long enough to be allowed to start the new thread. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s outfits as we move into my favourite fashion season.

Today I wore my Monki trousers which are probably more of a summer trouser as it felt chilly today and they are quite thin.

@Shannith and @KiteflyingKat great charity shop finds 👌

@20FlowerPower it's a lovely outfit, don't doubt yourself. The leopard print woolly cardi works really well with the leather trousers imo.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I think I'll just have to keep looking and hope that I find the perfect pair. I'm very outdoorsy so really need to work out how they can look good but be practical too. The search continues...

I bought the M&S green culottes as sported by @OublietteBravo and I love them - so comfy! Paired with a merino Jigsaw top and my favourite necklace
(I'm not sure why I bothered blocking out the whole room - probably so you won't judge me for all the toys scattered around I need a better mirror!)

Loving the grey jumper @EllaPaella I do think it’s time to put thin trousers away sadly!

@EllaPaella, what jeans are you wearing in that pic?

One of my issues with jeans is my non-pregnant but pregnant-looking belly. I want high waist to avoid embarrassing gaps, but then anything other than skinnies is just enormous in the bum and legs. I’m basically a size 12-14 with a size 18-20 stomach

It took me 6 weeks to get my refund. I refuse to buy online from them and I live nowhere near a store

@TakeMeToBedOrLooseMeForever @JunieSpoony so I am 5'1 and most definitely have a tummy post menopause ( how I wish I'd realised how slim I was when I was younger) and I only have a couple of pairs of skinnies now ( H&M / Lee collar and a black pair for going 'out'). I have gradually moved to high waisted straight cropped ( because I am short), relaxed/ balloon ( hush have some in the sale called barrel) which I roll, Levi ribcage straight ankle ( today) which I get 2 inches bigger than usual size) and Agolde 90s. All of these tuck in my tummy but accentuate my barely there waist ( I think I'm a rectangle). I also have a few boyfriend jeans which are also super comfy. I don't go out much but when I do I have grensons hiker boots ( roll jeans), narrow higher ankle boots ( not sock boots but similar effect) which go up and under and I've just got some knee length stretch boots from Boden to wear under jeans and dresses. I don't really wear socks as I hate them but agree that knee length are warmer ( that's what I tell my kids) and it I do need socks I tend to wear sparkly ones from poncy places in the sale which look nice. Wearsmymoney has a great blog post about socks and boots!

@TakeMeToBedOrLooseMeForever @JunieSpoony also Levi 501s are genuinely the best jeans ever. They are always on eBay.

I used to be Lobsterquadrille - name change but following the Alice in Wonderland theme - and so admiring of the gorgeous outfits this season. Also many heartfelt thanks to those who gave advice on my wedding guest outfits a couple of months ago - much appreciated.

I won't go into detail but @Sooverthemill I have some Levi's that are too tight - would they fit you?

Where did you used to shop? I’m older than you (late 40s) and I like Whistles, Jigsaw, Hush, Sézane (sales) Mango,, Mint Velvet, occasionally M&S.

@pompomsgalore congratulations! It's tough isn't it when lifestyle and body changes? Check out dresslikeamum who isn't any longer breastfeeding but has great inspiration. I think you need to just try a few things .

@pompomsgalore I am (or was) in the same boat. I'm 40, have a 2-year old, and only recently stopped breastfeeding. I now have a huge mum tum. I'm really loving jumpsuits at the moment - this is a dark grey Sweaty Betty one, and it was great for breastfeeding too. Wearing cute socks at the moment but will pair this with high-top Converse when going out later.

Rainy here too, but at least the sun is peaking out

Hi everyone. All looking great as always

Sorry about the photo - no full length mirror on holiday. I've had this jumper for years and I love it, but it's lost its shape a bit and sticks out weirdly at the bottom - I think it got over stretched last year when I'd washed it. I'll see if it looks ok and if not will replace it with a new fair isle jumper.

Loving all the close ups of boots and jeans - thank you everyone. Will be experimenting with my looser jeans and DM Aimilitas when I get home. I don't know why I find it so hard!

@CoraggioCara I donate my clothes to thrift+ if they don't sell on eBay. I donate all the proceeds to a charity. They get good prices for hush, hobbs, remiss etc

My eldest DD buys all her clothes from thrift+! Shame we aren't the same size

@CoraggioCara no not used Thrift+ but I buy and sell lots on Vinted

Freezing here today. Sleet this morning and not risen above 3 degrees so far. Just back from lunch out with my parents...it may or may not be my birthday
