I’m hoping I’ve been here long enough to be allowed to start the new thread. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s outfits as we move into my favourite fashion season.

@KiteflyingKatI really loved your post.Been a hectic week so I've not posted in a few days.Working today.Im wearing winter clothes even though it's warm here and I'm having perimenopausal hot flushes.Really could do with flip flops and a floaty dress.

@Sickoffamilydrama so I love the sparkly jumpsuit but not with sparkly blazer, I would add a different jacket if you need one. Love the mint velvet one, no way you can get it in your size? Looks amazing with the hush jacket.

@OublietteBravo I remember your trip to Iceland. How can that be 2 years ago?
Great outfits, a nice nice pink jumper and a good shirt but I can't remember who wore what. Brain slowly melting

Then there's this jumpsuit it's halter neck but a size bigger than my normal and would definitely need taking in and weirdly for me the legs taking up but was the last in the sale.

Thanks for all the jumpsuit feedback I think I'm going to keep the long sleeved one. It's stylish and comfortable plus for male dominated events I don't feel to on display, although they should by now be able to get a grip and not be arses to see a woman without being a leach!

I like the one you sent as well @Sooverthemill I just can't justify both!

I like the styling they've done in this image with the long sleeved one and thought I'd share it as might give others inspiration.

@Sickoffamilydrama I have a Hush sparkly dress and I've worn it ten times as much as I thought I would, I therefore give my permission for you to buy the blazer . If anyone queries the purchase, refer them to me

@Sickoffamilydrama I love that jumper! I have a weakness for yellow knitwear.

@Chrispackhamspoodle you have inspired me to head to M&S in search of sweater dresses. (Noted your warning about lack of temp control).

I'm exploring my A/W jeans/footwear options outside of skinnies. This is the pair of jeans I plumped for. I tried lots and was despairing of finding anything. I'm quite small hence the huge turn ups. I'm hopeful that the boots will keep the jeans out of the puddles.

Ooh @CoraggioCara, what shape are those jeans called? They could possibly tempt me away from skinnies. I'd love to get a pair of bootlegs but they all look so terrible on me compared to how they looked 20 years ago.

@Shannith I'm channelling you again today in riding stuff and a layer of sweat . Can you point me in the direction of a good pair of short riding boots?

@Justonedayatatime11 I'm not a fan of short riding boots - though I do have a pair from Tuffa that I wear with chaps. I find long boots comfier - and they come in loads of different widths which is you have chicken legs like me helps.

All the short boots I've ever had have been stiff and uncomfortable to walk in.

But if I was going to suggest a brand for shorter boots it would be Ariat and I'd get ones that lace up (or zip up of you are going to be traipsing through mud) rather than a traditional jodhpur boot.

I sweated like a beast riding today. It was hot and pony was in a forward mood!

Thank you @Shannith. I also realised my first post read like I thought you were sweaty . That absolutely was not what I was trying to say!

Not sure about today's outfit but I'm comfy and cosy so don't really mind too much.

Trousers are new and a bit too shiny maybe? Only £22 though.

Trousers : Sainsbury's "leather" joggers
Top : Boden
Cardigan : Hush (I'd wear this every day if I could. It was £££ but already it's worth it in terms of spend per wear)
Shoes : H&M - very old but "fur" lined and so very warm and easy to throw on

@Justonedayatatime11 I took it as channeling horse don't worry. I love autumn but at the moment I've got a mud caked hose (standard) who was sweating despite being clipped. So double...fun.

@20FlowerPower love that outfit and I'd live in that cardigan too (mud notwithstanding).

My new favourite charity shop Hospices on the Weald, - all clothes are £2.

So today

Jacket - H&M - really very nice.

Jeans - Citizens of Humanity. Yep - I used to buy them when I worked in NY and it was $2 to the £1 and even then I winced at the prices.
Belt is actually vintage from 20 years ago (it was vintage then)

Oh and these rather nice Polo Ralph Lauren trousers. £2.

@JunieSpoony I think it's as much a mindset shift as anything else. I was inspired by a poster on another thread who said that if we are going to try new styles we have to let go of the idea that the purpose of jeans is to make our legs appear as slim as possible.
