I’m hoping I’ve been here long enough to be allowed to start the new thread. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s outfits as we move into my favourite fashion season.

I’ve only posted here twice I think, but it’s on my saved list and I look at it most days. It would be wonderful to see you all in your velvet ballgowns and wedding dresses but quite frankly I’m more interested to see what is being worn to work/the supermarket/lounging at home/other day-to-day places. I think you all look wonderful and you should all be very happy with both your clothes/appearance and also the lovely friendliness here. You’re all so supportive with each other, making suggestions, asking where something is from, providing links, bemoaning the fact something has sold out, it’s lovely to see.

It's just a sneery and rather childish comment from a poster who never makes any particularly interesting contributions to S&B threads. She only seems to recommend very average high street labels on the threads that she is on - so hardly on the cutting edge of fashion herself anyway. I think the saying 'don't take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from' is very apt. I don't think anyone here is going to be devastated that she doesn't like our thread.

@EllaPaella I've never heard that saying before, what a great sentiment.

We're going on holiday today and it will be a week of casual and leisure outfits for me 

@Sooverthemill I just love your cardigan. I've been looking at it but they don't have quite the right combo of length I'd want and colour I'd want - also can't decide if I'd prefer jumper or cardigan 🤔 Might see if I can get there by December and add it to my Christmas list

I don't have a full-length mirror at home so contributing is hard but here I am at work today. Dress is from Kin and a few years old, and absolutely ancient loafers from Dune. I'm a bit more in the capsule wardrobe side of things but I love seeing other people's outfits!

This is actually from Saturday. First time out with a friend w/o kids since March 2020. We managed 4 drinks and terrible hangovers. Worth it though! 👍🏼

I'm sure someone may have asked this @Sooverthemill is the cardi itchy? After the fabulous hush jumper that was a gorgeous colour but that I couldn't wear even with a top underneath I'm careful with anything with wool in. Still baffled how you manage to wear it @PalacePaper

Thanks @EllaPaella, we're staying in Nottinghamshire and will mainly be cycling and walking - can't wait! It's looking like it's going to be wet though so will be packing waterproofs.

I must be very tolerant to wool @Sickoffamilydrama I can feel the hush jumper but it doesn't irritate me if that makes sense. Hopefully I won't become sensitive to it one day as I'd have to replace most of my jumpers! I find acrylic really hard to wear as I seem to overheat in it, very frustrating.

All M&S today. Close up of the lace on the jumper, I think its really pretty.

@Sickoffamilydrama I'm really sensitive to animal fibres and this cardigan is very slightly itchy so I always wear something under it. At the moment it's over a short sleeve dress and I am conscious of it but it's not itching me. I can't tolerate anything that's itchy and I completely sympathise. The label is just 'wool' on mine though in the website I can see they say merino. I don't think it's merino but lambs wool

@EllaPaella and @OublietteBravo - thank you so much! I do like some of Zara's stock but honestly apart from the 2 jumpers I got instore recently I will have to pass.

They did have a lovely sweatshirt (grey) and a nice navy ribbed jumper but not nice enough that I wanted to stay and buy them.

Yes acrylic does the same to me and then I get cold when I'm outside as I've got to hot inside. Think I'll just have to find the right kind of wool.

That's good to know @Sooverthemill might them on my Xmas list.

I got really cold in my outfit so got changed into thermal vest and top.

My decidedly anti-fashion contribution from today...it's raining and I can't take the littlest DD out on our normal run as the buggy has a flat tire ☹️ so comfy and cosy it is.
