I’m hoping I’ve been here long enough to be allowed to start the new thread. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s outfits as we move into my favourite fashion season.

@Softpebbles the best fashion advice I ever heard is ‘if you don’t love it, don’t buy it’. Clearly, you don’t love them, so they should go back and leave space in your life for boots you do love.

That's the kind of advice I need today @AnnieSnap thought I share the mint velvet jumpsuit I bought it's just not quite doing it for me the top is a little bit to big and the bottom half slightly clings to my stomach so it's going back.
Oh and final annoying thing is it's a wrap top but the ribbon piece isn't long enough to do much with hate it when that happens.

@Softpebbles as others have said if you don't love them then they need to go, unless they are just for practical wear.

But the jumpsuit and blazer look will definitely work if I can find the right combination.

Thanks @20FlowerPower Sainsbury's has had consistently good clothes for years now, I wonder if it's financially good for them.

This belt doesn't work with this dress but oh well to late now.

@Softpebbles - I think you need to give it a few days before making a final decision. It’s often difficult for things you’ve wanted for ages to live up to the hype. Put them in a different room for the weekend, and see how you feel on Monday.

I hear you. I have a mint velvet top in the same style. I love the print, but the fit is very odd. I am steadily losing weight, so hanging on to it in the hope that it will fit better, but I’m wary of mint velvet now!

@Sickoffamilydrama I like the jumpsuit but it's not perfect if you feel more comfortable hiding the top half with a blazer. When is the event? Do you have time to find something else you feel completely fabulous in?

@Softpebbles I like the boots, but would also probably remove the tassels (probably sacrilegious to say so!!)

Thanks @Softpebbles I've bought these with the intention that one of the jumpsuits will go back.

Hopefully they will work the events I go to are cocktail dress and they are still fairly smart, everything has gone so casual that there's not much around. I need to start keeping an eye out for more as just been asked to join the executive of the trade association which is exciting.

So, I’m leaving the house! Finally got a sitter for long enough to go see DS’s new Deli ( opened earlier this year) which is about 25 minutes drive away. And there’s a Boots and a shoe repair shop and a pet shop. Exciting stuff

But DH says I look like I’m going to work?( stupidly asked if I looked okay) I thought corduroy and denim was not ‘work’ so a quick panic but what does he know? I thought I looked fine and obvi tried on 4 other things first

I have a jumpsuit from Coast bought pre Covid that I am hoping to wear for our Christmas night out. Yesterday skirt white stuff, cardigan Gap, top nougat. Today off on holiday top joules trousers next.

I love your outfit @Sooverthemill. Don’t listen to your DH! (I would wear it for work - but, as I imagine you know by now, I can dress very casually at work. I imagine my work clothes don’t particularly scream “corporate lawyer” ).

It’s so cold today. I think I misjudged the weight of my jumper and might need to switch it for something warmer.

@OublietteBravo I was also caught out with my layering this morning - thought I'd get away with just top + coatigan. I was wrong - and cold as a result.

Been to the hairdresser this morning so felt the need to dress up! Also changed the shade of my hair to match my autumnal mood (second pic).
