M&S does it again!

Spotted in M&S yesterday. The pullover alone is a crime against taste, but the overall styling - what were they thinking?!
Am I missing something? Does anyone actually dress like this? (Bar Alice from the Vicar of Dibley!)

I like the dress and boots together. The hat and tank top spoil it though.

Whoever set up the whole AW photoshoot needs the sack IMO. They've tried to out do Zara with the stupid poses.

Oh the stupid poses irritate the shit out of me “well great I can see how the dress looks if you crouch down on a cooker top in heels, but how does it look if I stand up. On the ground. As people also do” I have seen Zara do that as a photo btw.

Also, they put a model with very, very dark black skin in black. And a very very pale white woman in white. It looks so shit, how about you out people in colours that contras their skin because I cannot actually see the black top on the black model in the b&w photo.

Why don’t they put bras on models anymore either? Is there a bra shortage at the agency so I have to look at their boobs hanging limply under the top I’ll wear a bra with. It doesn’t actually look that great either so I do wonder why they don’t bother.

It’s like if a teacher threw on a high-vis to do the fire alarm test in a primary school. It’s particularly cold so she’s grabbed a hat too.

Really handy if putting on WW2 play and need something for the WI sconces.

There's a charity shop on the corner of the street nextdoor to our store their window display is amazing then you pass m&s and think what the heck 😁😁

Ha I saw a similar display in M&S recently and my 90 year old aunt asked me who would be old enough to dress that badly 😂

This is what’s going to be in fashion though… even with the hat. I quite like it but wouldn’t wear the hat or the colour way.

I would like to say that my clothes combi/style in the '70's '80's was definitely better than that... & we had some pretty strange clothes (remembers stripped leg warmers & maxi tunic...maybe M&S will take on that "style")

Their TV ad isn't too inspiring either. They seem to want to appear more edgy but don't get it quite right and don't seem to understand their core clientele.

I managed to go in to M&S today dressed as one of the mannequins. Turns out M&S trendy range is whatever H&M was selling last autumn. Thankfully it wasn’t this one 😬

Oh dear. That’s not good. It’s a disastrous attempt at granny style.
