We need banquets, some diplomatic visits and more weddings. Oh and more of gorgeous Charles (you know the one I mean!)

The more commoners they have to dilute those strong Hanoverian genes, the better!

I like this photo showing the closeness of another generation of Scandinavian royals. Queen Silvia of Sweden joins two of her sisters-in-law, Princesses Christina and Desiree, and Princess Benedikte of Denmark (Queen Margarethe’s younger sister) at an exhibition about their shared grandmother.

Margaret of Connaught was a granddaughter of Queen Victoria and married the heir to the Swedish throne after meeting him while travelling in Egypt. It was apparently a real love match until she died tragically young of sepsis when 8 months pregnant with their sixth child. The portrait on the wall behind her shows their grandmother (wearing the Khedive tiara, one of her wedding presents, as a chest embellishment!).

Silvia and Benedikte look elegant as always (great posture from Benedikte too!) but I really like Christina’s stripy skirt paired with her turquoise jewellery.

Thanks @Serenster! Looks vaguely like she is also wearing her Connaught tiara too. Princess Madeleine tends to wear that one now

Yes, @paradyning, she is double-tiaraing in the portrait. A woman to admire . The Connaught tiara is another lovely addition to the Swedish vaults.

Margaret was the current Swedish King's grandmother? I think her widower remarried to Prince Philip's aunt.

Letizia and family at a concert last night. I love Leonor's fuchsia wrap dress and Sofia's teal mini. Letizia's dress is fun too with the feathers and I like her metallic heels.

True, Eaumyword! I think it's a drab colour as well. The girls look good and appropriate. Leonor is wearing the low heeled slingbacks Leti often favours. I expect it's sweaters and boots in Wales!

Carolina Herrera slingbacks Leonor was wearing. Leti has them in a variety of colours, my favourite being the red suede (not keen on nude shoes)

I thought that! Looks a bit like a feather duster 🙈. Not great colour on her either.

A better view of the metallic shoes, and Leonor's dress looks more raspberry here. She's probably got to the stage where she can borrow Leti's shoes and clothes.

They were all out and about again today, this time looking like they mean business. I think Leonor has suddenly discovered "mature" dressing!

Yes - they all look perfectly nice, but the two daughters look like they may find the in-between stage of being appropriately formal teenagers trying. Although I think the day dresses are better than their evening looks.

To be fair, it can’t be easy. Lady Louise Windsor also can look like she’s dressing 20 years older than she is.

Today’s cream dress on Sofia is lovely, I agree it is a tricky age for formal wear, I have a 13 year old dd, plus 2 others, and there is very little that she could or would wear

I love Leti's metallic shoes and feathery dress. And the two princesses always look good I think. My 13 year old DD would never dream of wearing anything other than slouchy hoodies and jeans, much to my despair!

The Spanish princesses generally get it right unlike poor Louise who always seems to get put in matronly stuff. I think it's peculiar to the British royal family - Beatrice and Eugenie were dressed like matrons at that age too!

I agree that it's tricky to dress teen girls. I think they get it right.

Here they all are out again for the Princess of the Asturias awards - better evening looks for the teenagers here I think - they both look look much more youthfully dressed, but totally appropriate for the event. I like Leti’s dress but not the bow embellishments on the front. She’s dripping in diamonds, though - two massive diamond bracelets stacked on one arm and huge earrings too, though hard to see in this photo.

And another photo of them out on a day trip looking smart but perfectly normal in jeans, trainers and coats.

I'm sorry, @gluenotsoup - that's Tracy's daytime tiara. She has the Stuart as an evening one, so may be prepared to share?

I like the daytime casual look for all of them. Skinnies are obviously still a thing in Spain, I'm glad to see!

The thing I noticed about that photo after I posted it are how long Sofia’s legs are! Her waistband hits at the same height as her mother next to her, but Leti is wearing heels and Sofia is in flats. Leti’s not short either - estimated to be around 5 foot 8. Sofia is only 15 or so too, so will probably grow a bit yet!

Are any of the 3 free!? If not I’m just going to have to spend even more time looking at beautiful jewels. I think I’m up to the job though 😂
