I like the idea that they get on well, it must be nice having someone who totally gets your rather unusual life. And I’m pleased to see Mette-Marit looking so healthy.

I think the Scandi royals are all quite closely related. Maybe second cousins? And probably third and fourth as well!

@Maireas, Russian Orthodox weddings are very formal. The bride and groom don't stand grinning before the presider.

Prince Rostislav is not only behind the times, he has no claim to the title His Imperial Highness, thanks to his grandparents' morganatic marriage. He is a Romanov morganaut so the best he can shoot for is His Serene Highness.

So we get a chance to buy that Russian wedding tiara, as it’s going to be auctioned following the wedding, sadly it’s only silver with blue & white topazes, so I’m not over enthusiastic!

The trouble with leather clothing is that it often looks like pleather ie cheap and uncomfortable.
