Space NK ordered Used Blue Light Discount

I am also sitting on my hands despite being on the waiting list.

I will get the John Lewis one. I’ve convinced myself, not only will I use it all up, but the box is sturdy with strong drawers and it’ll make a lovely play place for the baby. So it’s for the baby really!

I'm on the 'not getting Space NK' bench chaise longue if anyone wants company..

However, my Next calendar is waiting in store now for me to collect! Off to get it in a bit.

The one drawer of disappointment for me in it is the Mac Ruby Woo lipstick, as I don't wear red lipstick. But otherwise it's good value for me and stuff I'll use in shades I like. So if anyone wants to bid for the lipstick, it will be on a swap thread come December

All lipsticks are DoD for me as masks still have to be worn here, even on the school run!

I've just had delivered the Rituals one. Not the expensive one but the £60 one. I've never had one before and I am very excited to open it. It has come all packaged up like a giant Christmas present.

My ASOS came today, flimsy box but came in a good bag with a scarf, impressed

Side bar to the advent calendars, but thanks to whoever flagged up the Liberty beauty edit - I've just tried the Votary cleansing oil and I think I may now be spoilt for all other cleansers!

Also not getting the Space NK advent, so do budge up a little on the chaise...

The Rituals calendar looks gorgeous- really Christmassy

Want to get one for my mum. She rarely wears make up. But does like skin care.

Want to really treat her not sure wether to go for f&m and really push the boat out. Or the rituals one.

I’m also going for the Liberty Calendar this year. I am desperate for it!

I've had that too! I'm not worrying too much yet unless they send one saying it's cancelled 😬

I had signed up to the space nk waitlist too and still haven’t had an email - there isn’t one in my junk folder either.

Space nk looks fab. I’ve already ordered fortnums though and like the look of JL.

Nars dolce vita seems to be the new filler item.

I’ve just watched the Cosmetopia video on the JL calendar. It slates it for only actually having 6 full size products (plus a sheet mask!) despite claiming more are full size. I’d spotted that the Evolve mask was actually travel size yesterday but it turns out that’s not the only one they’ve claimed is full size! It still works out good value if any of the full size items are ones you really want. It’s still top of my list at the moment.

Have bought SpaceNK after deliberating all day, it’s more than I usually spend but didn’t like any of the others as much. No other big ones for me but maybe M&S if it is good, would have to be absolutely blown away by No7 for that to be tempting but not ruling it out. Feeling guilty about the spend now…..

I really like Cosmetopia, and enjoy watching her videos. I love that she doesn’t gush about everything, and/or simply read out product plus the marketing spiel rather than actually give views.

But I don’t actually use her system for deciding the “value” of the calendars. Having had quite a few, I’m okay with not getting large numbers of full size products. I’m actually a big fan of deluxe/decent travel size items like a 15ml/20ml of moisturiser, or a 10ml perfume. It’s enough to give a product a good try, but not so much that you get bored before you’ve finished, or feel guilty throwing it away if it really doesn’t work for you.

So I now want the cost of the calendar to be covered by what, for me, are the full size and travel size WoW products. This year, JL, CB and Net a Porter meet that criterion, Space NK and Liberty are borderline.

Yes, I’ve spent far too much time thinking about this .
