Can’t see a thread so I thought I’d start one. Yes, it’s unbelievably early, but I noticed Glossybox have already revealed their Advent Calendar contents for this year. Saw this reveal on YouTube this morning:

Have to say it doesn’t wow me, but there’s plenty of time and many more Advent Calendars to come, I’m sure!

SpaceNK an easy front runner. Looks like it might be the one for me. Lots of nice skincare and I prefer that to makeup. Love the design this year too. Quite romantic looking.

Last year I got the O.P.I calendar and it was amazing. A few colours which weren't for me but the majority were lovely and still using them now. Can really recommend for those who love a mani/pedi. Only downside was the fact the name of the polish was written on the back of the door rather than the bottle so have no idea of what's on my nails!

Yes, I'm not sure if we're mentioning spoilers....I'm happy to, as I read all the contents of all the calendars and would like to say what I don't rate. But conscious some posters might want a complete surprise. So just not sure.

Ok so I'm a bit disappointed by space NK .. I've tried about 90% of the content before and not too excited. Was hoping for a big La Mer cream or serum this year. Feel like 2020 version was a bit better even tho lower value?? Don't get me wrong it's a great calendar just doesn't work for me I don't think 🤔

Personally I would like us to discuss spoilers. I find it helpful to hear what products people rate and which they don’t to help me choose which calendar to go for. For instance, I had no idea about Avant (I’ve never used it before) but thanks to this thread I now know to steer clear. That’s just my opinion, but as has been mentioned before, I have the memory of a goldfish so won’t remember anyway!

You can tell it's only my second year getting a calendar because I loved the Avant product I got last year I've not used it up yet (it was really helping my terribly dry winter skin so have put it away over summer) so haven't looked at what the full price is so I didn't realise it's really expensive!

Seconded!! Yes, you raise a great point....there are so many rip offs and repeats nowadays that so many of us have tried, it would be useful to be able to say so.

If I had to choose one that wasn't bad, it would be the rose face mask. It is just ok though. The rest were like the skin equivalent of that Aussie stuff for your hair.

Another vote for spoilers. I really think there is no point in the thread is all that is being said is stuff like I like the look of x calendar etc.

Personally, I think if you don't want spoilers, you should avoid the thread and maybe create a separate one without spoilers. Maybe we should ask MNHQ to edit the title to say includes spoilers? That way, anyone who doesn't want spoilers knows top avoid it.

@OchonAgusOchonOh, I was going to suggest the same, as I’d also prefer to be able to discuss content. If @Coniferhedge as the OP is happy to do so, perhaps we could get the title amended to make it clear spoilers are included?

Another vote for allowing ‘spoilers’. If we say nothing on here other that ‘x..... calendar is now available and I might get it’ it’s not much of a discussion. It’s great to hear others opinions on the stuff inside and surely if you want your calendar to be a total surprise you would stay away from discussion threads? @PomRuns - I’m not sure many/any of us had heard of Avant prior to a couple of years back when it started to make an appearance in advent calendars, seemingly to ‘bump up’ the value as everything Avant produces appears to cost £££

Also have to say that I don’t think SpaceNK is for me as I find it too skincare heavy and I have a ton of the stuff to work my way through due to ‘overindulging’ in calendars the past couple of years 😂. I’m waiting to see what Liberty and Fenwicks come up with, though F&M is still simmering at the back of my mind (and will probably have sold out by the time I finally decide)

@Luvacuppatea thank you. I absolutely hate the inflated products and would much rather they say rrp £400 rather than sticking in a lip cream which apparently cost £200.
We’re still twinning - might crack and order Fortnums - worried will sell out although I think last year we knew Liberty contents early Sept?

We are definitely ‘twinning’ @PomRuns - I’m on the verge of cracking and ordering F&M too! So worried that it will suddenly sell out, like it did last year. No doubt the Liberty offering will then appear, and I’ll want that too 😂. I don’t honestly know why I’m holding back - I should just accept that I’m getting F&M; almost certainly Liberty and (fingers crossed that there will be one) the next Liberty GWP as I have a shopping list here that will almost certainly meet the required spend, based on past levels 😊

That’s my plan too but I might add in m and s too… I need a 1litre Aveda conditioner so that will be a big chunk of the GWP for Liberty hopefully.
I do quite like the space nk too though.
I feel a bit guilty about Fortnum and Liberty.

I’m guessing F&M won’t sell out as fast as last year, given its slightly different focus and that overall it doesn’t seem as good as previous years’. I’m hoping the surprise still to be revealed in the Space NK calendar is a nice perfume; if it’s one I want it would make Space NK a definite yes for me. I’ve never had a Liberty calendar, so decision on that awaiting content reveal. Wonder if N-a-P will do one this year? Despite its high “value”, I didn’t think last years’ was that great.

@PomRuns, really hoping M&S actually do a proper one this year. It’s usually such good value you only need to like a few things to make it worthwhile. I’ve really enjoyed this years’ M&S summer bag, so very hopeful it will be good.
