Can’t see a thread so I thought I’d start one. Yes, it’s unbelievably early, but I noticed Glossybox have already revealed their Advent Calendar contents for this year. Saw this reveal on YouTube this morning:

Have to say it doesn’t wow me, but there’s plenty of time and many more Advent Calendars to come, I’m sure! Grin

@MidnightMeltdown thank you, have just gone back on to the app and it's now showing!
Ordered and got 20% off with the code too.

Very happy!

gratedbeetroot · 08/09/2021 18:06

ASOS calendar ordered with the 20% discount code - woohoo! I was going to pay £24.50 for the Origins mask alone within the next few weeks so paying £60 for the calendar is a good deal for me!

There are quite a few products that either I already love (as well as the Origins mask I use the Estée Lauder serum daily so the mini one will be great for travel and I also love the This Works body moisturiser as it really helps me to sleep well) or really want to try (Olaplex, CT magic cream, Ordinary Squalane, hydrating mask).

I’ll also get M&S if it’s a 24 day one and Space NK is still top of my list for a luxury one.

JasonMomoasgirlfriend · 08/09/2021 18:12

I know my husband gets discount on ASOS so I'm going to try and use that along with the 20 % they are offering. Fingers crossed that works

shash1982 · 08/09/2021 18:41

Whoop, good price with the discounts. I'm ridiculously excited! Grin

I'm going to have to get teen DD's more than a chocolate one now aren't I!?

BunnytheFriendlyDragon · 08/09/2021 18:42

At this rate I'm tempted to get myself the big hotel chocolat calendar that is about £65 Grin

shash1982 · 08/09/2021 18:49

That would need to be a lot of chocolate! Grin

JasonMomoasgirlfriend · 09/09/2021 08:25

I looked at the ASOS one again and I'm disappointed at the packaging. I really want a nice Christmas looking one and lot sir these calendars are failing to deliver that.
I love the look of F and M but it's so expensive for me.

gratedbeetroot · 09/09/2021 08:56

I’m not fussed about packaging really, though the nicest one I have had was a Lookfantastic one from a number of years back which had useful large drawers, and which I still use. All others have been recycled. I’m liking that the ASOS comes in a bag with scarf.

Peridot1 · 09/09/2021 09:00

I keep reading this thread every day although I’m determined not to succumb and buy one as I have so much stuff to use up. I’m torturing myself!

Maybe I’ll get bored reading about them all and checking what’s in them and get put off? Hope so anyway!

Housewife2010 · 09/09/2021 10:55

I think M&S , John Lewis & Selfridges should hurry up and spill the beans.

ajandjjmum · 09/09/2021 11:08

@Housewife2010

I think M&S , John Lewis & Selfridges should hurry up and spill the beans.
Absolutely - need to know if they're worth holding out for! Grin
gratedbeetroot · 09/09/2021 11:17

Yes. Though I’d be happy if M&S just confirmed that they’re doing a multi-brand 24/5 day calendar.

Nowmum43 · 09/09/2021 12:41

I was waiting for M&S but panicked this morning that I'd end up without on so ordered the ASOS one! If they do bring one out I'll just have 2 Grin

BakeOffRewatch · 09/09/2021 15:25

If I do get one, I think it’ll be Space NK. Anyone else getting that one? beautyadventcalendar.net/space-nk-advent-calendar-2021/

I want to wait to see what individual brands release as Christmas products though.

If anyone wants to join the Space NK email waitlist, this link helps me move up the competition wait list www.spacenk.com/uk/21_wk17-advent-calendar.html?referral=54ccXqq&refSource=copy

How do people enjoy their calendars? Do you open the right door on the right day or choose which you’ll open each day?

MollyVolley · 09/09/2021 16:02

I always start on the 1st Dec and open each day in the correct order but by the 16th or so I get fed up waiting and open a few in one go!

Viviennemary · 09/09/2021 16:14

I would like the John Lewis one. But if it's very expensive I won't buy it. Cant see I'll have the self restraint to only open one per day though!

JasonMomoasgirlfriend · 09/09/2021 16:22

Oh I like opening when they should be. 😇

Eaumyword · 09/09/2021 16:36

I open it all in one mad fun go. Then line everything up and have a good look. Repeat that.
Then start trying things out!
No self control here. Awful double standards too, as I'd so tell DS off if he opened everything Grin
My excuse is one's a B'day gift and the other is meant to be a proper December one....

BakeOffRewatch · 09/09/2021 16:51

I have a feeling most people do it like you @Eaumyword!

gratedbeetroot · 09/09/2021 17:09

It depends. With my multi brand calendars I open as you should, one door a day in order. With Elemis and Lumene I opened in one go - I saved the Lumene one for spring, once I’d used most of my other products. I wanted to use things from the same ranges within the brands together and the placing in the doors seemed quite random.

JasonMomoasgirlfriend · 09/09/2021 17:14

Omg this is making me feel nauseous. It's one door a day! 😂

LarsErickssong · 09/09/2021 17:19

Harpers bazaar are saying that Cult Beauty will be available 12th October, I have a 15% off voucher which I was hoping would work with it but it expires 30/09!

LookdeepintotheParka · 09/09/2021 17:22

I'm with you @JasonMomoasgirlfriend - a door a day whilst desperately trying to forget what I know is behind them 😂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/09/2021 20:59

That would need to be a lot of chocolate!

The Hotel Chocolat Grand Advent Calendar (£65) is 1060g of chocolate , 2x 50ml of liquer and 12g of tea Xmas Grin

that;s a lot of chocolate !
