Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 - contains spoilers *titled by MNHQ at OP's request*

Can’t see a thread so I thought I’d start one. Yes, it’s unbelievably early, but I noticed Glossybox have already revealed their Advent Calendar contents for this year. Saw this reveal on YouTube this morning:

Have to say it doesn’t wow me, but there’s plenty of time and many more Advent Calendars to come, I’m sure!

Could you all not just return the F&M if you get the CB and keep it if you don’t? I know it’s not in the spirit but it stops you missing out.

Any idea when M&S and H&B will launch?

I’m obsessively checking daily but still fear missing the big days.

I was quite tempted to try Lumene as I've not tried this brand before, but don't want black eyeliner, pink lipgloss and pink illuminizer.

I'd quite like Lumene. I was hoping that Feel Unique would be selling it and then I can get their GWP

I can't see it on there yet though. Decisions decisions.....

I've been looking through the contents of some of the calendars again. I must say, I find the notion of travel size candles very amusing. I assume they think it sounds better than teeny tiny candle or tealight. But realistically, who brings a candle on holidays?

I have! For relaxing baths. The Diptyqe ones have several hours burning in them - much bigger than a tealight.

I ordered the Feel Unique last night. It’s good for me, I like the look of it all. I am getting a Rituals one for my sister. She likes the packaging as much as the contents and the 3D one is very pretty l

@StiffyByng - I stand corrected.

I don't do baths so it definitely wouldn't dawn on me to bring a candle.

@StiffyByng @OchonAgusOchonOh I used to take them when I lived in hotels during the week for work. Helped make it feel at home as well as room sprays. I have no use for these things otherwise though!

@BakeOffRewatch - that makes sense. I could see myself doing the same in those circumstances.

I did ! I had forgotten about that. I had wine ! The only thing I doubt I will use is the sunscreen as I avoid the sun as much as possible because I come out in a rash. Someone will have it, though so it’s not a waste.

It's the gwp that is tempting me to get the feel unique one. I'm definitely dithering this year.

Yes, the GWP was the deal that tempted me. Some very nice things in it that I know I like so there’s nothing new to try but I have given away lots of my advent calendar things in the past and I got a bit fed up.

I'm thinking of splashing out for Selfridges, never had one before

I’ve just watched the Space NK unboxing on the back of this thread. Although I had Space NK last year, I think the unboxing has swung it for me. There are some great sizes. The only things I’m not keen on are the rich cream, the caudalie & the NARS lipstick as I’ve had all 3 before.

I have ordered the feel unique one I wasn't going to.....then I did 🤣

Can someone e link the space nk unboxing, please. I can't seem to find it.

I would prefer the CB one, but its so hard to get hold of. I don't want to risk not getting either. A look at the Space NK might find it.

I like to have a calendar around the £60-80 mark so have gone for Feel Unique this year with the GWP. With the VAT off and the bits I don’t like in the GWP that I sell on FB should bring the calendar in on budget 😀
It does seem ridiculously early to be thinking of advent calendars……

Having not been that excited by Space NK initially I’ve come around to it now. I had Cult Beauty last year and loved it - and was excited by the amount and range of products in this year’s one too - but having gone through them I just know that there will be stuff that loiters in my drawer and doesn’t actually get used. All the eye products in CB look lovely - especially the palette - but they’re all warm bronze/gold colours which don’t sit that well on my pale skin. Space NK has mix of stuff I buy anyway (Olaplex 3), plus things I’ve wanted to try for a while (the Kate Somerville moisturiser, Summer Fridays mask, Nars Dolce Vita lipstick) and some new things/surprises to try. Last year I remember Space NK having a 15 off for every 60 you spend offer on that took £45 off the price of the advent calendar. If they do that again it will definitely swing it for me I think.
Still waiting to see what John Lewis/Selfridges/Harvey Nicks have - but they always tend to have lots of small sizes in (I’ve bought JL half price in the sale before which was great - but it’s never swayed me when it’s full price). And M&S of course! I might just get that one without looking and try and give myself some element of surprise.

I did that last year. I bought the CEW female founders beauty edit and topped it up with stuff from an Elemis set I got from QVC. I found it brilliant but I have the memory of a goldfish so not at all dull. I was on the general calendar thread so got to see what everyone else got too. I much prefered that thread to the dedicated ones from previous years as there was such variety..
