Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 - contains spoilers *titled by MNHQ at OP's request*

Can’t see a thread so I thought I’d start one. Yes, it’s unbelievably early, but I noticed Glossybox have already revealed their Advent Calendar contents for this year. Saw this reveal on YouTube this morning:

Have to say it doesn’t wow me, but there’s plenty of time and many more Advent Calendars to come, I’m sure!

I don’t think those are the sizes for the Net A Porter - just links to the products on their site. You can see in the pic of the calendar that the Tata Harper is a smaller size/different packaging - and I don’t think they’d put a full size Barbara Sturm in, such are the ridiculous-ness of her prices. But hopefully there will be a few good full sizes in there. I got a Net A Porter beauty set in the summer and it was amazing value - about £80 but had about £400 worth of really good products in.

Ah, that is naughty of them. They are trying to make it look like sizes are more generous than they are - especially as they've actually stated the product sizes under the photos!!

ok so I've ordered a jam one from Bonne Maman, and put my name on the waitlist for Space NK and No7, also think I might want a degusta one but can't see it on sale yet.

I do want one with make up in aswell. So I think F&M is out.

So Space NK/CB or Feel unique at the moment. But also waiting on Selfridges

Cult Beauty is my favourite so far amongst this year's many drawers of disappointment. Ideally I'd swap out 3 or 4 of CB's offerings and replace them with F&M's scents and the NAP candle.

Thanks for the N-a-P link @Betsy88. It will be interesting to see the full contents with sizes, and also to see the pricing. Last year they were the most expensive of the luxury multi-brand calendars, so if the price went up again it could be £250+.

Like @Housewife2010, CB is my favourite so far. Space NK may be an option, especially if it can be purchased with a substantial discount as happened last year.

Who has had Harrods AC in the past? I wonder if that's worth holding out for? Their spring GWP was really good ( I thought anyway ) so I might go for that one.

I can't go near red eyeshadow @CountryCob due to the myxomatosis effect. I think it's the way it looks on my translucent skin as I've seen it look fab on others. It seems to highlight veins and my deathly pallor so I wouldn't use that pencil.

Despite that Drawer of Disappointment and the pink pebble I am still keen to see more detail on N-a-P. Hope it isn't crazy high priced.

What's the myxomatosis effect??

I find it a bit odd how we keep getting neck creams popping up in beauty advent calendars. Why do we need a separate cream for our neck?

It the old days we just needed cleaner and moisturiser. Now apparently we need cleanser, toner, serum, eye serum, eye cream, moisturiser, SPF, facial oil, AND a separate special neck cream.

Will need about an hour in the morning just to apply all these separate potions! Does anyone else feel that we're being taken for a ride by the beauty industry? 😂

I'm on a mission to use things up @MidnightMeltdown so currently have on face cream, neck cream, bust cream, body oil, cellulite cream, foot cream and hand lotion! bonkers!

🤣🤣🤣 my point exactly! It's almost comical how they've convinced us that we need so many products. I've been using body cream on my hands lately - and then feeling guilty that I'm not using up my hand creams!

I've finally got into the habit of using foot cream every night and my feet are in the best condition they've been in for years. I'm trying to get through my mountain of beauty products too.

I've had a look at the Liberty one and most of the products are listed as not available for my country so I wonder will the advent calendar be?

That said, I'm not wowed by it. The bubble bath, bath oil, the brow pomade, the REN tonic, the wash bag, the eye mask, the teeny, tiny perfume and the mascara are all Drawers of Disappointment so definitely not worth the money for me.

I need to start a list drawers of disappointment for them all and see which one is best. Not as difficult for me as it is for most of you as a lot of the high end ones don't ship to Ireland so really, it's do I go with Cult Beauty or Space NK or go for lower price ones instead.

JL calendar is often reduced by 30% - agree re some of the sizes in previous years. Interested to see this years now Liberty is out for me.

I've got a 15% off voucher for cult beauty. I wonder whether it will work with the advent calendar.

Just looking at the Liberty contents again. It doesn’t feel very well curated. Three hyaluronic acids in one calendar?! That Dr Seburgh is there every year without fail - is it any good?

I wouldnt want a calendar full of just creams. Bit boring.

Liberty has two lip treatments ? A balm and a moisturiser I think. No need for two. I was going to treat myself this year but not now.
Holland and Barrett is still good value but not decadent. I want decadent.

Been following this thread for a while - was holding out to see what Liberty were offering - so disappointed! Ive had 3 Liberty calendars up until now, but had a break last year as I didn't feel I needed / wanted anything due to working from home and being a recluse. So I've taken the plunge and ordered F&M tonight - for me it's the best as I'm keen on the candle, room spray, perfumes etc. Can't believe no diptyque in Liberty this year! No byredo either! And far too many lip balm type products and doubles from previous years. That blooming Dr Sebah has been in at least 4 years running! Also don't understand why they have a davines conditioner rather than a shampoo (or even more sensibly, both?!) Just a really bizarre offering. Will probably get a makeup one too since F&M is light on make up - interested to see what M&S will offer. As others have said the John Lewis is normally heavily discounted in the week around Black Friday. The Kiehls one is looking good this year, particularly for the price. Next is looking good too.
