Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 - contains spoilers *titled by MNHQ at OP's request*

Can’t see a thread so I thought I’d start one. Yes, it’s unbelievably early, but I noticed Glossybox have already revealed their Advent Calendar contents for this year. Saw this reveal on YouTube this morning:

Have to say it doesn’t wow me, but there’s plenty of time and many more Advent Calendars to come, I’m sure!

Have found a few details for the Selfridges calendar. Will be priced at £210 and worth £700. From the pictures released it looks like it will include a Le Labo Santal 33 which I expect will be a selling point for some. Full details not released yet though.

Agree next one looks good and reasonable cost. At this point I just want them all!

Another keenly waiting for Liberty!

I also like the next one especially for the price. If the M&S one doesn't attract me then I might get the next.

Next has some decent beauty boxes too.

I'm thinking an under £100 calendar and looking out for a decent Elemis set

I’ve just watched Eltoria’s unboxing of the Look Fantastic calendar and I was tempted for a moment. Two reasons - you would hope they have learned their lesson from last year and got plenty of stock available and also I’m a subscriber to the beauty box so I could get it for £70…..but then she pulled out the black eyeliner and Avant hand cream and that put me off!

I really like the Next one, but I got that exact Mac lipstick in an advent calendar 2 years ago and it was completely dried out, completely unusable on my lips. I’m not sure if it was just a dud or if that’s the way it is… surely not, as it’s an expensive and popular brand

Eagerly awaiting Liberty

Ruby Woo is a really dry matte lippie. I wear it over ByTerry baume de rose or it just sucks the life out of my lips.

I jumped the gun. And ordered 2 look fantastic calandars.

Its my first year getting one. After reading about the mess last year and how most value is in the hand cream, I cancelled them.

Still waiting on liberty. But don't want to miss others, if that turns out to be disappointing!

Not thrilled by the Ren tonic, pulse point oil, eye mask and hair oil, but think I'd be happy with everything else.

I don't think much of the Liberty this year. I've had it for three years previously. There's only two makeup items. The Le Labo has been in one of my previous calendars and it's not one of my favourite ones. The second perfume item is just samples - my first Liberty Calendar had a full size Odejo scent as well as a 15 ml Le Labo. There's no Bobbi Brown this year - usually that's always included. I got a full size Pot Rouge in a previous calendar.

Not impressed with Liberty at all and won’t be buying. I’m sure it’s great if you’ve not had one before, but too many repeat items for my liking. Like others, I’ve had the Le Labo fragrance in a past calendar, and also 10ml of the Dear Polly. No decent sized second fragrance this year. The Dr Sebarg serum and AA rollerball are repeats. Don’t want any more Rich cream or Susanne Kauffman bath stuff. There is very little in there that I do want, so sadly passing on this one. Happy that I went for F&M. Now eagerly awaiting M&S contents........

It's Le Labo Another 13 not Santal 33. I have both from previous calendars. I really like Santal. Every so often I get Another 13 out and give it another go (usually when I've read an interview with Sophie Dahl or Sophie Beresiner saying how much they love it), but then I remember that I'm not that keen. Another year I got Le Labo The Noir from the calendar but in recent years they seem to repeat the previous Le Labos. Last year I got the Cult Beauty Advent instead and bought the Liberty Dear Polly on eBay and really liked it.

I really like getting the candle, also think it’s a wash bag print that I don’t like.

Yes. I'd not noticed that. Liberty have usually stuck to the same brands every time and when the items are good it is fantastic. I had it for three years and I loved it. After that it looked a bit samey so I now buy the items I really want from it from eBay from sellers who are selling lots of their Liberty AC items.

Kiehl’s AC details out , I'm always tempted by this as it has a good range of their products, but it's quite pricey for the small sizes. Would perhaps buy if discounted.
