The Charlene thing is very strange - not that i have any medical knowledge but it seems strange that it is keeping her apart from her children for so very long

CliffsofMohair · 03/08/2021 17:46

It’s VERY strange. I mean if you couldn’t fly you’d hop on the royal cruise ship wouldn’t you. Take in the sights. I imagine if there is any sort of custody issue the twins would have to remain in Monaco. I mean she never seemed happy with him did she (not surprising)

iknowimcoming · 03/08/2021 18:35

Yes I thought that they must have a super yacht she could cruise home on surely? She said her kids had visited and would be again, but I'm not sure I'm buying the whole sinus infection story, there was a mention of 'breaking protocol' and a 'can't go into more detail' which made it seem a bit fishy to my mind, not to mention the fact that she actually did an interview in the first place! Anyway I know this is not the thread for that sort of thing so I'll be quiet now Wink

KillingMeDeftly · 03/08/2021 18:42

From her Instagram it looks like Albert and the children visited her in April and June. You'd hope they'd visit again for the summer holidays this month.

Exactly. They must have some sort of a royal-yacht-type vessel? Surely, she could travel with a medical team? The whole thing sounds very odd 🤔

Well, on an unrelated note, whilst googling Charlene researching important things, I came across ‘Tiara of the month’ that Tatler run 😱
In case more tiara-related material was needed 👑

Maireas · 03/08/2021 19:44

Thanks, @Tinitiny - we definitely need more tiara action. It looks like Katherine Kent may have had that wedding tiara modified. It's very nice as a bandeau.

I am unreasonably excited about this

MotherofPearl · 03/08/2021 22:03

Thanks for the heads up on Tatler's Tiara of the Month @Tinitiny! I've just had a very pleasant browse. That Josephine Faberge tiara is spectacular!

MrsFin · 03/08/2021 22:11

Charlene's top lip doesn't look quite right. I'm sure she's had work done on her face.

MotherofPearl · 03/08/2021 22:14

I thought the Greville tiara was my favourite; then I saw the Josephine Faberge and it's certainly beautiful, but having looked through more Tatler posts, I have found my one true love, the Fife tiara. 😍

It was made for Princess Louise, Queen Victoria's granddaughter. The largest diamonds are in a swing setting, designed to catch the candlelight apparently. Amend your records of who has dibs on which tiara please @Maireas!

So many gorgeous sparkling gems 😍 The Josephine is stunning. And all that history!

I am rather taken by the Delhi Durbar one, suits Camilla’s hairstyle :)

That is beautiful @MotherofPearl

OMG dibs? Is that done here? Me, me, me too please! That Delhi one if it’s not taken.

paradyning · 03/08/2021 22:22

The fife is my favourite too. Then Madeleine's modern fringe.
I'm sure someone in here was at the actual exhibition and posted photos of the Fife

Maireas · 03/08/2021 22:34

Makes a note: MotherofPearl - Fife tiara.

Even though I have dibs on Queen Alexandra's Kokoshnik tiara, I rather like the Valkyrie one.
Quite the conversation starter.
Anyone not bagsied a tiara yet?

Eaumyword · 03/08/2021 22:50

The Devonshire one has my name on it, but I also look marvellous in emeralds, so I'm not TOO fussy, as long as I get one!Grin
Nice to see you on the RF thread, we think alike!

KillingMeDeftly · 03/08/2021 22:54

Zara, Meghan and Eugenie's tiaras were my favourites. Wasn't as keen on Kate and Beatrice's and poor Sophie really drew the short straw when it came to hers!

KillingMeDeftly · 03/08/2021 22:54

Their wedding tiaras, that is!

KillingMeDeftly · 03/08/2021 22:58

And for anyone interested in discussing the Mystery of the Disappearing Princess (aka Charlene), there's a thread about her on the royal family boards.

Horsemad · 03/08/2021 23:01

Any of Max's tiaras for me please! 👑

Maireas · 03/08/2021 23:03

Too true, @Eaumyword - lack of self reflection or even awareness there, I fear.

OP posts:
Maireas · 03/08/2021 23:06

I'm in agreement, @KillingMeDeftly about the wedding tiaras. I always think that Kate's was too small, she needed a little more of a statement. Zara's was lovely, I remember Anne wearing it when she was young. Poor Sophie - I understand it was two parts of an older piece. Loyalty has been rewarded - it's been remodelled and upgraded and she also has a gorgeous aquamarine one!

If you don't mind @Maireas I'll have the Strathmore Rose tiara please. It's less well known but it'll be perfect with my shorts and hoody. Smile

I saw it at Kensington Palace recently. It is absolutely beautiful.
