Yes Charles Spencer was quite good looking when young and of course, Victoria was a model but always so frail looking. The girls are just so stunningly beautiful.

They are a very good looking family. Lucked out with the genes! The cousins are also nice looking eg Alexander Fellowes (his wedding pic) . They all have good hair, as did Diana.

They don't age well though.

Omg there aren’t many that can carry off the ‘statement tiara and earrings. And why not a necklace. And an asymmetric neckline for MORE added interest. Love it!

Thank you for the new thread! The photo of the back of Kitty's dress is breathtaking. I wondered if the ladies standing on the right of the photo were the lacemakers or perhaps they're D and G staff there to arrange the dresses fir the photos. They all seem to have glives on.

I agree. Regardless of whether you like the dress as a wedding dress, I think the whole thing is reminiscent of something you would see in the National Portrait Gallery. It’s a piece of art.

Do we need another picture of Maxima in a tiara? I think so. This is from the recent trip to Berlin. The Stuart tiara plus extra bling!

Princess Anne has been out on a couple of engagements. I really like the turquoise dress on her. It has a 1960s feel. I'm less keen on the cream outfit - I don't think that longline jacket does anything for her.

The turquoise is nice, MoP, I actually like that style on her, but you're right about the second outfit. Jackets with short sleeves never look quite right somehow, proportion wise. She always wears gloves, but I wonder if a pair toning with the outfit may look better.

Anne's turquoise dress probably is from the 1960s knowing her. Her figure is amazing.
I agree about the cream jacket. Probably another vintage outfit, possibly from the 1990s, but it looks too boxy on her.

Agree, really don't like the cream outfit at all. The turquoise dress is kind of ok - functional and practical but not pretty. Probably fits Anne's practical brief very well!

Suspect it might be an original from the same era.(1980's/90's). I agree that the proportions are wrong, but I can also imagine her thinking its terribly useful because the sleeves don't get in the way.

Amazing dresses by D+G, I thought the wedding dress was disappointing compared to them, although I appreciate it is an amazing work of art.

I really like Anne’s dress, that shape is lovely if you are slim, I’ve seen a few around this summer. Her hairdo though reminds me of a Lego mini figure.

She's like HM, always wears gloves. Royal ladies always did until this generation. Mind you, in the past most ladies wore them going out. I remember my mother always wore white lace ones to Mass.

I hadn't seen this green and white dress as one of Kitty's wedding numbers (image on the right of the triptych). It reminds of Scarlett O'Hara's dress from Gone with the Wind!

I think they would look better in a white or neutral shade. Unless evening wear dark gloves are more ‘super hero needs to protect humanity from special powers’. (Obvs Anne could also be secret super hero).
