I may have also bought this pattern after the first one arrived and I saw how nice it was BlushGrin

@FraggleJunior they are lovely trousers. I wear mine with a cami vest top or slightly cropped T shirts and sandals or flipflops. You look great in those

@EllaPaella Ah yeah, I can see a cropped t-shirt being lovely with them actually, just don't think I would be brave enough Blush. Definitely should have gone with sandals rather than trainers. @NotMyCat I love the animal print version too.

Do you all think that jumpsuits will stick around for a bit? I find that summer fashions seem to move quite quickly, and that styles that were 'in' last summer have disappeared the next summer. I love jumpsuits with the wide leg cropped trousers, but I have a pair and don't want to buy another if they'll be gone by next year. Same with these tiered dresses, they are looks that I think will look very dated once they aren't 'in' anymore. But I like them, I just don't have the money or wardrobe space if they won't last Grin

Sooverthemill · 23/07/2021 20:18

@FraggleJunior I think they will. People seem to love them ( ask @OublietteBravo!) and there are so many versions and ways to wear them
@NotMyCat brilliant dresses

Shannith · 23/07/2021 21:18

@FraggleJunior they look really good on you. I never quite now what the wear within either.

@NotMyCat nice dress (es). @KiteflyingKat we seem to have a similar charity shop habit. That dress is lovely.

Wore some of my £1 finds today to go for lunch and then zoom calls

Dress - essentials something
Belt - vintage (70s?)

Top - next
Shorts - new look

3 outfits in one day is unheard of. 4 if you count riding gear.

@Shannith yep I love a charity shop. There are some excellent ones around where I live, 80% of my purchases are probably from charity shops these days.

I’m getting really into the whole recycling thing & really dislike fast fashion now. However I do recognise I’m lucky to have access to good quality 2nd hand clothes - where my mum lives there’s literally one charity shop that’s full of well-worn Next/M&S/Primark so second hand shopping isn’t really an option. Whereas my town has about 5 charity shops & the next town along has about 5/6 and they have some good brands.

Although I’ve got some amazing bargains, I buy so often I still spend a lot. But I’m benefitting charities I tell myself Grin

KiteflyingKat · 23/07/2021 22:16

I’d also say that our charity shops aren’t cheap - I picked up & put back two JoJo Maman dresses for my DD today as they wanted £5 each which I think Is a lot for a secondhand dress for a toddler. If they were £2 I would have bought them.

Sooverthemill · 24/07/2021 06:50

Our charity shops are crap. And I can't really get to them. I use online preloaded shops eg the rebound store, my preloaded, scoop etc but their stuff isn't cheap! eBay is my friend

Sooverthemill · 24/07/2021 06:50

PRELOVED grr

Sooverthemill · 24/07/2021 08:17

@KiteflyingKat about 80% here too. It's addictive! I'm also lucky to have excellent ones round here. I've also developed quite a good eye and knack for spotting expensive things - especially house stuff.

OublietteBravo · 24/07/2021 09:33

Cool and overcast - rain later. Although that rather depends on where I am later. We have a day of complicated logistics moving children around the country.

Base layer: Primark
Jumpsuit: Brora
Trainers: Gabor

OublietteBravo · 24/07/2021 09:37

@FraggleJunior - I definitely think jumpsuits are here to stay! Although I know what you mean about the wide-legged crop style. I’m trying to work out if this will stay more generally for trousers/jeans. I’m inclined to think it will - at least for a couple of years. FWIW - I think the current style that will date and be gone by next year is the high necklines that seem to be everywhere at the moment. I’d be surprised if they’re still around for spring/summer 2022.

TigsytheTiger · 24/07/2021 10:11

Can I join you? I've always loved these threads, but never posted! I'm 55, 56 next month and love clothes and fashion 😊

Welcome @TigsytheTiger

Today I’m wearing a shirt from Whistles (£6 from charity shop). I loved it as soon as I saw it but noticed it was a size 8 (which I am definitely not these days) but thankfully it fits!

M&S “mom” shorts, which I have decided aren’t the most flattering, so I’ll look to replace them with something looser. Just haven’t found the right ones yet.

Sandals are from TK Maxx a couple of years ago.

It’s gloomy here today but still warm/muggy

I’ve decided I’m going to do a “love it or list it” - wear everything from my wardrobe & anything I’m not loving gets listed on EBay. I’ll list as “Buy it now” as I can’t be bothered with the hassle for 99p an item. Anything that doesn’t sell within a month will go to charity

20FlowerPower · 24/07/2021 13:52

Lots of lovely outfits and dresses this week - love that Zara dress Smile
Today's it's sunny and dry, about 18 degrees.

Dress: Next - came with a belt but I think looks better without
Trainers: Veja
Sunnies: Hush

That's basically what I've been doing. It's a brilliant way to work out what you love. I'm only doing summer stuff at the moment because stuff sells best seasonally. So far I'm up to £1700 since I started which is fab as I actually don't really have an income now!
Sooverthemill · 24/07/2021 17:12

@TigsytheTiger welcome, love the outfit. I have that jacket and it's one of my favourites

Sooverthemill · 24/07/2021 17:12

@KiteflyingKat gorgeous blouse, what a bargain!

Sickoffamilydrama · 24/07/2021 18:50

@Sooverthemill & @KiteflyingKat I'm doing the same.

I'm a bit bored today always get a bit restless this time of year my DH is a singer in a band which sounds exciting but actually means nearly every Saturday during late spring and all of summer he's out of the house from early afternoon until late and then knackered on a Sunday. & DD still in isolation until midnight tonight
