I absolutely love Kitty's dress. It's got a Elizabethan look to it with the tiny waist and the fully flared skirt, the puffed sleeves narrowing to the tight cuffs, and the boned bodice with its high collar.
I like all the little details too, the scalloped lace edge of the hem, the tiny buttons on the sleeves almost to the elbow, and the clever cut of skirt so that it drapes softly.
I like her veil as well, with the lace motif repeated.
Altogether a beautiful skilled couturier piece.

IIRC the wedding was originally planed for December, but had to be cancelled, so she would have been a winter bride rather than a hot summer bride! Pity that the Spencer tiara didn't get an outing!

The bodice would have looked better lined under the bra cups.

I love kitty’s dress! I don’t usually like the bra cups thing and I agree the sleeves will date badly but on her it’s an amazing look- she looks doll like and elegant in it.

Kitty's dress is lovely but like @paradyning said earlier 'how on earth do you keep cool in the heat'
Do they have nano air con or freezers built into the fabric?
Or is it mind over matter? Kitty imagines it's the middle of Winter with snow all around, perhaps?

I'm not a fan of Kitty's dress I'm afraid. It's certainly very dramatic and striking, and has the hallmark D&G corset thing, but I agree it's too fussy, and the bra cups thing doesn't look great.

Not a fan. I don't like the lace used. I don't like the seam down the middle. Agree with PP about the bra cups and sheer lace - it's not classy.
Compare that to eg Pippa Middletons wedding dress which was a similar style but far classier.

She looks beautiful and the dress is very haute couture, but will date quickly. Not keen on the visible bra cups.
I wonder if she'll go sexy with an evening gown? I thought Meghan's evening dress was a glamour showstopper and Kate's was very pretty.

Haven't gone for it myself as up to my arms & legs in Elemis bath & body stuff & got plenty of pro collagen marine cream.

Tracy yes, but I have resisted the tsv this time. I haven't actually bought one this year, although there's a Liz Earle one at the end of August so might treat myself if it's a good one.

I'd have thought she'd have enough money to buy another summer appropriate dress if that was the original winter dress. I'd have been sweating in a dress like that although she does look gorgeous.

The Fail is predictably drawing a comparison between Kitty's dress and her mothers. I did one of this metal eye rubs as I definitely remember Victoria's dress and lo it couldn't be any more different other than it too is a dress

Leti and the Spanish princesses looking lovely today. She really gets it right with these girls and their clothes. I assume she has a hand in selecting their outfits, though I wonder if the girls themselves have a choice, or if they have a stylist maybe?

I suppose Victoria's was lacey, but that's the only comparison. Quite different!

The Spanish princesses look lovely, stylish and appropriate. I love their shoes. I strongly suspect that Leti has a controlling hand in their outfits. They're already taller than her!
