I'm 49 and I don't really wear white trainers, I do have a pair of predominantly OPP trainers which also have pale pink and gold trim on them. They're not very comfortable so only wear them if for a short time span and not expecting to walk miles.
Day to day I wear New Balance and have done for about the past 8 years. They've changed my life as I have a hip problem and found walking in normal shoes / sandals very painful if any distance.
I've had numerous pairs, last winter I had lovely plum / grape coloured 373s which I bought in Madrid the year before.
I'm currently wearing 720s in pale grey & turquoise and cream & pink and I love them - the shape reminds me of runners of my 70's childhood, they're narrow fit too which suits my feet and they make my feet look neat, which they are at size 5.5. I'm really enjoying them with rolled up jeans and 7/8th slim fitting trousers.
I don't like the look of dresses with white trainers so its not something I'll ever wear so no need for white trainers for me.
My 16 year old dd has an alt look and it currently wearing classic black and white converse hi-tops with ripped tights / fishnets and legwarmers. Looks amazing on her but definitely not something I'd want to copy myself.
Round here Vejas are worn by trendy / glamorous mums in the 30s / 40s and I see a lot of them. Very rarely on younger women though.
I'm old enough now to know my own style and to wear what I like without worrying too much about whether it's 'in' or not. I do love clothes though and I like to dress well (in my own opinion of course!)
