Help me wear jeans to my civil partnership!

CP in two weeks. I want to wear converse hightops, jeans and a fitted jacket (preferably leather or faux). I'm size 14, 5'5" so pretty curvy with a lot on the boob side. Thinking maybe good quality white t shirt and silver or gold converse (or other high tops, not wedded [pun intended] to converse) and silver or gold jacket? I'm brunet and suit warm colours - probably have enough of a tan to pull off blush pink too. Thoughts?

You might be right about being too metallic. What about a pink jacket and pink converse? Hot pink is my colour, but I'm trying to keep it subtle.

I think I'd do a non metallic jacket, but yes to the metallic shoes.

I think a pink jacket with grey jeans and the metallic converse could look great. I personally don't like anything too matchy, so wouldn't match shoes and jacket. But obviously, that's personal taste etc.

What about blush jacket and heart converse. Too cheesy?

I love those heart converse! I prefer the white ones but I agree you should wear whatever makes you happiest!

Yes, I think a blush pink jacket with jeans and metallic trainers (maybe low tops rather than high tops?) would be nice

@MaryTheMiddle budget under £100 for the jacket and under £100 for the shoes. I will buy M&S bum shaper jeans. I already own 5 pairs so just new ones for the day!

@IND1A are you trying to say an entirely metallic outfit would not be subtle??!! I'm trying to keep a balance between wearing something that is not my everyday wear whilst not going for a frock.

I love the metallic converse, the silver jacket not so much. If you completely ignore where it’s from - I know - this would work with them.

Love the metallic converse and the heart ones Definitely agree on a good quality fitted white t-shirt - or a bodysuit if you’re going to tuck it in as I find the tuck is always neater and creates a better silhouette with a body!

Depends what colour jeans I guess. If you’re going for a dark wash, you could go black or navy. Whatever you choose make the jacket and converse the stars of the show.

I’m thinking if there’s ever a day to have NO balance and be right out there it’s on your wedding day . So I’d go for the hot pink myself and the silver converse. More of a contrast.

Or do you have to coordinate with your fiancee’s outfit ?
