Summer handbags

Start by saying I have an expensive bag habit! I have a nice collection but I realised the other day I have mostly dark winter colours - oxblood, navy blue, rust, tan. I know the tan will probably work in the summer but I'd like some lighter coloured bags.

What colour bags do you use in the summer? Any nice suggestions please?

I tend to use orange or pink more in summer. Marc jacobs usually.

I need (really want) a nice soft tan coloured something fancy. I had a lovely coach one 20 years ago that died on a night out in a puddle of grease, sigh.

Unfortunately I don't have the same self control and have ordered the green one although in my defence I had asked for it for my birthday in March but it was sold out when my son went to order it so I got a gorgeous duck egg blue on instead!

I have the Osprey Coast in black and it’s a fab bag. I love Osprey as, like Aspinall, the leather is great quality. They wear really well too.

Aww don't worry at all @Ninkanink Can't remember where we got up to but I love my rust Leighton! Highly recommend.

I love that @VanGoghsDog just wonder if it's too small. I don't like huge bags but I do have a chunky purse plus phone, keys, few make up bits etc.

ATM I’m using my cheap faux leather tote in burgundy - it’s not a spring/summer colour for me but that’s ok as the weather is shit and apparently the shitness is due to continue for another two weeks.😒😒

My rational exactly......plus I've only bought 1 as the other was a present so I've saved loads!!!

@PatricianOfAnkhMorpork I love the osprey coast, is it comfortable on your shoulder? I’m tall (6ft) so really short handles don’t really work

@Passthecake30 I’m only 5’ 3” so a bit of a difference! It is comfortable on the shoulder as the strap is short enough to tuck in nicely under your arm but long enough that I can get it over a winter coat without a fight.

Only way really to know is to get one and try it.

@PatricianOfAnkhMorpork just a slight height difference Thanks, I’ll give it a go, I don’t tend to have particular problems due to my height as I have skinny limbs so fingers x.

Not yet although a red one mentioned in another thread from Meg and Bee has!!

Nooo.....had a message saying it was being processed and would be three days, so mid week I think!

I didn’t get one in the end as my current cheapy has 25cm handles which is pretty perfect for me and the osprey measure 20cm as per the website. Still on the lookout!

Not yet no, I paid with PayPal but got no confirmation from Osprey, however, I emailed and they confirmed they have the order but nothing since (I'm impatient 😂)
