OMG! Boden Autumn Preview

I have just had a quick look at the Boden Autumn preview. I love a lot of their jumpsuits and dresses from this season and the previous one, but these up-coming styles are truly awful. Dowdy and drab. Is it just me?

Seriously, omg. They’ve lost the plot!

Even what could have been an ok Breton type jersey top has been ruined by Per Una style neck ruffles.

Is it full of “fun” tops in unwearable colours or are they trying something new this year.

It's not all bad, most of the knitwear is quite nice, as are the trousers and coats, but I agree most of the dresses are a bit wtf as are some tops.

It looks like they've gone for styles based on the assumption that everyone has put on weight during the pandemic year...

Crikey. The dresses are awful! High necked floral midi dresses only look passable on youngsters, not Boden’s target market. Some of the dresses are positively Amish.

That utility jumpsuit! Good GOD.

And the shoes, they're garish novelty wellies.

I quite like a pair of high tops because they look less clown like with shorter styles of jeans (on a shorter woman anyway) but their two pairs of high top trainers are very ordinary looking. White with a bit of leopard, and white with stripes. I'd prefer a navy pair, or a gray pair. Or Pewter maybe. Those I'd buy in a heartbeat.

My eyes. The fun prints hurt like a hangover. Oddly I love the utility jumpsuit - not on me, but would work on the slim & gorgeous, with chunky boots, rolled up arms, a bandana and a saucy wink.

Some of them would not look out of place in the M&S Classic range let alone Per Una. Also, the cut is so bad some of the dresses and tops manage to make a flat lay look busty...

Omg, my grandma had those dresses in1981.

I'm sure I've seen princess Anne in that dress!
I genuinely couldn't find anything worth buying with my £10 off recently.

I’m 61 and would never, at any time in my life, have worn any of those awful dresses

I think most of them would look better on an actual human but there’s simply no excuse for the neck frills

I've bought the Jasmine Sweatshirt dress and the Embroidered Utility Jacket

Was picking up takeaway from local pub today and a lovely young thing was wearing a remarkably similar dress with dm sandals - and while it is, to me, an old lady aesthetic - she rocked it. Tbf, her dress was nicer, though practically the same colour and pattern and a c similar style.

One of the young women I work with dresses like this. Accessorised with odd socks and flat lace up ankle boots. She looks amazing ( in a good way).

I despair.
Autumn preview and we've not even really got into spring yet.

It's all about their cash flow and stock levels but it's depressing.

The frocks arent great. I'm more impressed by the ghost /M&S dresses and will be purchasing one of those this year, they're really lovely.
