Royal Style - more outfits as lockdown eases, not more black we hope

Hello, wonderful royal style fans - here's the next thread as the last one will get full soon. Please continue with the great pics, fantastic knowledge and wonderful observations!

Loved Kate's pink/red dress from earlier but for me she got it wrong with the coat dress for the evening reception.

Agree with PP that Carrie has got it right, her floral dress and the yellow shoes is perfect for he occasion. And I really liked yesterday's red dress on the beach.

I'm enjoying seeing the photos from the G7 summit - it feels so much less stuffy than previous meetings and it's refreshing to see them on the beach and dancing (even if it is all very carefully orchestrated for PR). Max would have fitted right in with that jumpsuit.

I hate Carrie's yellow sandals. The dress is ok.

Kate would have been better in something a bit less structured. Her dress from earlier was nice.

That white coat dress was just so disappointing.

I love Kate's fushia day dress, the simple red/pink dress on Jill and Camilla's monochrome evening reception dress.
I agree with the pp who said the style of Kate's white coat dress doesn't fit in with what the other women are wearing. Perhaps there was a mix up at the planning meeting and the wrong dress reference number was written down!
My other concern with the white coatdress is that there is so much potential there for food splodges during the meal, although I don't suppose they were having spag bol for tea.

I think Amélie Derbaudrenghien won the style stakes last night. I’d love to see Kate try something like this.

I like Amelie's hair, it's a change from the usual long hair. Her top is lovely, although I'm not sure about the trousers, maybe it's just the shape as she walks.

I think the trousers hang nicely. Especially when she isn’t walking. And Kate definitely has the height and the figure to experiment with a similar look.

Those culottes Somewhere in Amsterdam Maxima is consumed by red hot jealousy over the fact that she didn't think of them first!!

Oh wow, I ❤️❤️❤️ those culottes/trousers. The style, the colour, everything. So, so simple and yet SO stylish. Kate would look amazing in that outfit.

I have liked pretty much everything Carrie has worn & I liked Kate's fuschia day dress yesterday but thought the coat dress wasn't right for the occasion last night.

If ever there was a time for Kate to dig out one of her floral Erdems then surely a reception at the Eden Project was it?

I really liked the colours on this one. Get rid of the ruffle at the bottom to shorten it to cocktail length and it would've been lovely for a reception on a summer evening.

Amelie's culottes do look better in the second picture, they hang well, lovely colour.
So true about Kate digging out one of her Erdem numbers! Personally I'd like to see her in that bright yellow number she wore in Australia a few years ago.

I admire Carrie for renting her clothes. I know she probably couldn't afford a massive designer wardrobe but it's great to see someone think a bit more sustainably.

It's also a smart move to shut up all the Carrie Antoinette jibes since the Downing St refurb costs were leaked...

Agree about the accessory she holds in one hand though. Somewhat spoils the overall look.

I wasn't impressed with Carrie's look, it didn't say "Summer evening with powerful people" to me. But it did say "1970s C&A found at an Age Concern shop". Boris looked a sight too, surely he could find a Tory Doner who'd stump up for a tailor and some decent shoes.

Call me cynical but, given her husband's track record when it comes to telling the truth, I'm not sure I believe the PR about Carrie renting her dresses!

Kate looked very happy in it though.

I rather hope that somewhere in Amsterdam Max is having a pair made in an orange and yellow floral fabric. To be worn with yellow espadrilles, an orange top and some killer earrings.
