Shoot me I nearly ordered Hotter shoes!

Disclaimer I suffer from painful feet.

I was browsing Hotter Shoes for my mother (wide foot and old ) and discovered that Hotter don't just sell wide shoes but they sell standard and narrow fit as well.

So looking through I found a pair of trainers that look lovely and I imagine would be so comfy and am considering ordering. The thing is they have a zip fir easy access and I'm not sure I'm ready at 51 to wear easy access trainers even if they are comfortable.

So any suggestions for alternative summery comfortable trainers to wear with jeans etc? Please don't suggest Converse as they kill my feet.

There are some Hotter styles which are ok and some that just make me feel very sad that this is what the future holds in terms of style suggestions - I’m looking at you, frumpy kitten heel number is disturbing puce with applique and odd embellishments. Methinks someone in the design team is secretly also working for Per Una clothing.

Ha! I bought some white trainers from Hotter last week. They're one of the few places which does a narrow fit for trainers. And yes, I could have bought Mumsnet approved Supergas, but they'size very wide and make my feet look like clown feet, or I could have bought Converse, but they have zero arch support. So I bought a pair of Hotter instead and they're fine. Not going to set the world on fire, but they're white trainers which go with most things, and fit and I can walk for miles in.

I bought these - but had to return them as they were too narrow. I still think they're lovely!
