I used to love Aussie 3 minute miracle as a cheap fix but hadn’t used it for years. It used to be lovely and thick and my hair always felt a bit better after using it.
Bought a bottle last week - what have they done to it?! Horrible watery rubbish that did nothing for my hair.

Ghd curling wand - now I love a ghd product but this does nothing for me.

Rosehip oil - paid about £40 for a tiny bottle of this when it was all the rage a couple of years ago. Did absolutely nothing for me.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream - like a tub of Vaseline and gave me milia on my face that took months to go. It did sort out the dry skin on my hands when applied before going to sleep, so wasn’t a complete waste of money, but Norwegian Formula does that for a lot less.

Charlotte Tilbury mascara. Don't believe the hype. Waste of £25.

Regretsy · 01/04/2021 23:14

L’Oréal 8 second miracle water. Was led to believe would transform hair so drastically that I would magically transform into Victoria’s Secret model. Just made hair all filmy and - if possible - more frizzy. Same with olaplex. Are there any hair treatments that actually work???

EachandEveryone · 01/04/2021 23:17

Everything by Charlotte Tilbury. Must have amazing pr

Diamondella · 01/04/2021 23:19

Ren vitamin C serum:moisturizer, £38 in M&S what a load of crap. Did nothing, skin felt dryer than ever after 5 minutes so slathered on some Astral which worked. 😊

Imissmoominmama · 01/04/2021 23:19

I came on to say everything I ordered (after a recommendation) from Charlotte Tilbury. In particular, the mascara, which manages to be both wet, and clumpy.

Goldieloxx · 01/04/2021 23:33

CereVe moisuriser caused an allergic reaction for me, horrible stuff

Bloodyfuckit · 01/04/2021 23:40

Miracle water and Olaplex works wonders on my hair. Olaplex 0 followed by 3 is brilliant.
PersonaNonGarter · 02/04/2021 00:34

Everything from Charlotte Tilbury

All Beauty Pie

Chantecaille Jasmine Face Mask

LunaTheCat · 02/04/2021 00:53

Agree about CT Pillow Talk lipstick making you look like a corpse.
Agree with Chanel perfumes - used to use Coco but have reformulated often and smells nothing like the beloved perfume I worse 25 yea ago
Disagree re Bobbi Brown - make beautiful lipsticks and eyeshadows.

Jdhshekr · 02/04/2021 04:54

The Ordinary Buffet. I’ve been using it since the new year and it has done precisely nothing for me. It might as well be water as there has been no effect whatsoever.

DailyCandy · 02/04/2021 06:02

Nu face - really does nothing
Clarisonic - can see why discontinued

indy2please · 02/04/2021 06:39

@Fkrkrodps

YSL touché eclat - did nothing for my dark circles.

Maybelline great lash- gave me 5 stubby flaky lashes.

Isn't it a highlighter rather than a concealer though? I wouldn't imagine it would give coverage?
LaBellina · 02/04/2021 06:44

The Ordinary Niacinamide.
Did absolutely zero for my skin.

LaBellina · 02/04/2021 06:46

Also some perfume reformulations, shame wat they did to Jean Paul Gaultier and Dior Hypnotic Poison.

SexyGiraffe · 02/04/2021 06:48

Chanel No. 5. Makes me smell like an old people's home.

FindingMeno · 02/04/2021 06:49

Weleda skin food.
Just felt like lots of cheaper alternatives.
This is an interesting thread!
I find rosehip oil very good.

RampantIvy · 02/04/2021 06:53

Nivea face creams all feel like an oil slick, and only sit on the surface of my skin and don't get absorbed.

YoureBreakingMyHeartCecilia · 02/04/2021 06:56

Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette.

I so so so wanted to love this. I know people adore it on here.

Maybe I got the wrong shade but I looked dull AND glittery at the same time.

It was way out of the price range I normally spend on makeup so I was quite cross (with myself)

It was just plain horrible on me. I used it twice and gave it away.

StrawberryLipstickStateOfMind · 02/04/2021 08:05

Perhaps the Bobbi Brown palette I bought was a dodgy batch- but they were the least pigmented eyeshadows and blusher I've ever bought, and the colours were nothing special either! I've honestly had better from Revolution beauty.

I think most £££££ products are a waste of money though, with a few exceptions. I used to love Loccitane products but whilst they're nice I think they're a total rip-off!

I think cheaper brands have really upped their game over recent years

DinosaurDiana · 02/04/2021 08:13

Aveda products - expensive below par products.
EA 8 hour cream - just smelly Vaseline that made my skin spotty.
Charlotte Tilbury make up - over-hyped, over-priced rubbish.

SunsetBeetch · 02/04/2021 08:22

Agree with Aussi Miracle, although it's never done anything for me.

Anything recommended for keratosis pilaris Sad

DustySpringboard · 02/04/2021 08:30

Agree with Aveda hair products - make my hair lanky & lifeless

Mac ruby woo - definitely doesn't suit me

Any high end mascara, absolutely no different to those at a lower price point yet I'm still swayed by the posh packaging and hype

Estée Lauder double wear, too thick and dried my skin

Benefit foundation, I turned orange!

YoureBreakingMyHeartCecilia · 02/04/2021 08:39

Oh I agree with Aveda. I spent loads on an entire range of shampoo, conditioner, product etc... smelled of musty tea tree and did nothing.

hellcatspangle · 02/04/2021 08:48

Shark cordless vacuum cleaner. I still see people raving about it and it's shite. It sucks up dust, but any bits of grit that are a bit heavier just jiggle about in the tube and fall out when you switch it off. As for the hand held section on its own, totally useless.
