@Caggie09 - love the idea of rhubarb shampoo. I love rhubarb everything. It’s not a widely-used scent over here in Aus. (Luckily can buy lots of rhubarb-infused gin, so we’re not total philistines!)
@NotMyCat - you have been VERY busy! Well done!!!

ememem84 · 15/07/2021 10:19

mitchum deodorant finished. moved onto a dove one, but i don't like being able to smell it - because it smells different to the mitchum one iyswim.

hey ho.

clary · 15/07/2021 19:00

Finished small tube of Elemis pro collagen moisturiser, I love this. I have many other moisturisers in my stash tho!

laselvar · 17/07/2021 08:05

Empties for this week

REN overnight glow dark spot sleeping cream - loved this, I don't have dark spots, so can't comment on that, but the texture of this was great, nice and thick, but not greasy at all. It felt lovely on the skin and had a gorgeous orange scent.
EOS grapefruit lip balm - this has been on my desk at work for ages. It is really nice and lasted forever!
Susanne Kaufman's moisturising mask - I really like Susanne Kaufman's products, thus isn't my favourite but was a very nice.
Narciso Rodriguez pure musc - pleasant enough scent, but didn't like it enough to RP.

Final Superdrug foot treatment finished last night.

Caggie09 · 18/07/2021 12:57

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunny weather here in the UK🌞

Ive made some progress on reducing the stash by selling bits i know i wont use!
I am tempted my the QVC Elemis offer, the Rose scent is my favourite and the new cleansing oil is included. Its also has the Rich cream ive just used up too, but i have mountains of creams to use.

Anyhoo,

•Garnier Spf. HG.

• The ordinary Caffeine solution. Wow, i have been using this for about a year now and its a staple for me. I use it in the AM and its worked wonders for me. I get up super early for work, and this depuffs my eyes and makes me look like ive slept for 8 hours. Smooths out my under eye and brightens it too. Ive already RP. Bargain to for £5.80.

•Aurelia Revitalise and Glow serum. Another on i adore! A light silky serum that glides on my face. I double looked at my skin and forgot what i put on then i realised it was this. My skin looked healthy and glowy! Not sticky or pills. Would RP in the future!

• La Roche Posay Zinc mist. Was fine, done the job. Would RP if on offer.

• Patchology sheet mask. Nothing will bear 111skin for me. But good either way.

•Zoella body whip. Picked this off a clearance shelf in Superdrug about 3 years ago. Suprised it hadnt grown legs and walked off. It was boring. Im not the target audiance for this brand though. Need to learn just because its cheap, i do not need.

•ByTerry Terrybly with grow booster. Didnt notice growth as i perm my lashes anyway. But, the mascara was good. My lashes didnt look clumpy.

Finished a BodyShop Daisy showergel ( its this seasons offering) really nice not too flowery , I originally bought 2 (for myself) then DD started using it so I bought another 2 .

I'm using a BodyShop Pink Grpefruit and an M&S Fragrence Society Lime&Mandarin showergel . Once they're done I have 2 new bottles Provenance ( the blood orange and olive oil ) but I'm going to be adult and play by the rules .

I also looked on the M&S sale shelf and saw some Aveda Invanti massive reduction , like 60% off . But I don't need it so I calmly walked away .
That's a lie , my DD did her usual Yes , there's a reason it's on the Sale Rail and prised it from my cold dead hands Grin

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 18/07/2021 21:58

Checking in but still no empties unfortunately. I have spent a week in the caravan where I purposely keep different ‘stuff’. I also keep my not so great make up there.

A friend used to do Avon so I have loads of their stuff despite having lots of high end make up. I don’t even like it but can’t justify chucking.

MackemLass79 · 19/07/2021 13:28

3 empties today tho very much cheating as they have been emptied and thrown away as have been open so long I fear if I used them I may have no skin left so out goes
NIP FAB toner
Pixi glow toner
Body shop tea tree toner

All open and lightly used tho so long I couldn't possibly give an option on any

ememem84 · 19/07/2021 19:54

Bibi Cbd facial oil 100ml done. This was a freebie from feelunique. Liked it but not the smell. Or taste. It’s not for eating. But some dropped into my mouth. Ick.

Ponks · 19/07/2021 23:03

Good stack of empties:

  • M&S Pure Rose cleansing balm, love this, brilliant cleanser, emulsifies and washes away easily, doesn't sting eyes, nice light smell. Have already repurchased despite having a few lots of other balms to use.
  • Nuxe super serum10 sample; seemed nice, not quite sure what it was supposed to do, seemed a bit like the Clarins double serum or ANR in texture and effect.I think it's quite expensive so unlike to purchase full size.
  • Skinceuticals CE Ferulic sample (lasted over a week so great value in the FeelUnique beauty kit). I know this is the "gold standard " for vitamin C but I couldn't get to terms with the smoky bacon smell. Glad to have tried it but won't purchase full size.
  • Fresh Black Tea Eye cream, oh I love this, feels firming and soothing. Would buy again if a good enough discount, although I think I may prefer the Goldfaden eye cream from recent Cult Beauty gift.
  • Couple of things from IT Cosmetics, Bye Bye Pores loose powder and BYE Bye Under Eye concealer. Both good products, will repurchase the powder as it does such a good job of reducing shine without caking. The concealer lasted so long as you only need a tiny tiny blob. Bit bored with it but used to the very end (cutting tube and scraping out with cotton bud) and would prefer to try something with an applicator next time.
  • Laura Mercier sample of loose powder. Tried it but not my sort of thing as it gives a glowy sheen rather than mattifying.

Phew!

ememem84 · 20/07/2021 08:08

Dove bar gone.

But have plenty more to replace it with.

Justilou1 · 21/07/2021 00:31

My DH is away for work until late August. This has allowed me to get rid of the “Milk and Honey” el cheapo body wash that he bought. It smelled like a reject shop “vanilla” candle and my skin has been itchy ever since. I may have “found” some Honeysuckle Oil Gel to replace it instead. I am now scented like springtime and glowing.

Experiment627 · 21/07/2021 12:46

@ememem84 stuff always goes in my mouth... double ick!

So my list may not be complete as I have given away/chucked quite a few things and I did not want the reporting element to hit my stride!!! Soz!

  • The Inkey List Salicylic acid exfoliating scalp treatment: did not see any difference - used the bottle - it lasted 4.5 goes
  • CeraVe facial moisturising lotion SPF 25: liked this but did not love it. The consistency is too much like a suntan lotion. I gave to my nephew.
  • Boots Botanics hot cloth cleansing balm: this is ok. I was gifted it, but I have used before. Did the job.
  • Hada Labo lotion anti-aging super hydrator: really not a fan. This lasted FOREVER which I suppose is a good thing but I just did not feel it hydrated that well...
  • Superdrug Me+ Tranexamic Booster: supposed to brighten and even skin tone... it was ok but I did not see amazeballs results
  • Superdrug Me+ Polyglutamic acid booster: think this is a good alternative to hyaluronic acid
  • CeraVe Hydrating cleanser: not that impressed with hydration... given to nephew/SIL
  • The Body Shop CBD cream: this is ok but have so much stuff I want to try for my channel I have given this to my SIL

I have decided to not go ahead with Space NK haul instead:

  • I bought some stuff from a website I found that sells some Spanish brands
  • I am considering a Mario Badescu haul from Cult Beauty....

I am currently trying to stick mainly to Your Good Skin products to see if being consistent to one range helps... but the biggest thing is that tomorrow I am getting a facial and BOY do I need one!!!

Ah @Experiment627 enjoy your facial! Sounds lovely.

Finished a Brazilian Bum Bum Cream .. nice but bit wasted on me. Found an old Body Shop body butter in a cupboard so have moved on to that.

Caggie09 · 23/07/2021 19:43

Only one empty for me.

Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser. I prefer a cream cleanser for my second cleanse that doesnt lather. This lathered a small amount, which was okay. It soothed my skin and the smell was nice. But, my eyes stung sometimes and it just didnt wow me. I dont think id RP again.

clary · 23/07/2021 22:03

One empty here - Molton Brown rhubarb and ginger body wash. Quite nice actually, from my advent calendar so lasted well.

laselvar · 24/07/2021 16:21

A few empties this week.
Aveda cherry blossom conditioner - quite like, but prefer shampure conditioner
Lixirskin vitamin c mask - I've never used a vitamin c mask that I felt left my skin any better, including this one. It might just be me.
No7 mascara- it was decent but went clumpy after 6 weeks of use.
Fresh Kombucha cleanser - I wasn't keen, but I prefer rinse off cleansers.
Ultra sun SPF30 for face - great stuff, never burn when I use this and foundation goes on top of it well.

Beauty Hoarders Anonymous: you have got to be in it to win it!!!
SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 25/07/2021 11:26

I have an empty!

N-spa Indulge pamper me body cream - no idea where this came from but it was lovely. Exotic smelling and whilst not a lotion, was easier to apply than a body cream.

This weather has made me very lax with my skin regime as I just cant be doing with multiple layers of stuff every night. My progress through my stash has therefore slowed down. On the plus side, I’m using more body lotion than ever before.

Experiment627 · 25/07/2021 18:42

I have a few empties to report but they are in the kitchen and cannot be arsed to fetch them... however I have some confessions to make:
~ went a bit wild on a website I found selling Catrice make-up... it should be arriving tomorrow
~ also had a binge on another site I found selling Spanish toiletries
~ I got the Nivea perfume (LOVE IT) and the Laniege sleep lip mask (yet to try) for my birthday
~ am considering doing a Mario Badesci haul

Hello, been lurking a bit and hope I can join. Did a stock check of products and am horrified! Hoping this inspires me to buy fewer items (she says, unwrapping a SpaceNK package that arrived today). Have quite problem skin and seem to have amassed an entire pharmacy of products for it. Made an effort this month to declutter.

This month's empties:

Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream (mini) was really excited to try this but am quite underwhelmed. I like the bouncy texture but like other DE products it seems to leave my face slightly oily but not feeling moisturised. Odd.

Finacea 15% prescribed by GP and is the best thing that ever happened to my skin. Probably renders most of my stash useless!

Urban Decay eyeshadow primer in Sin (sample) love this, have a full-size of the colour Eden which has a texture like glue. Sin is much smoother and lighter. Might RP in 10 years when it runs out.

Sephora Supreme Cleansing Oil absolutely hated this. Incredibly strong floral fragrance and emulsifies really poorly. Used it up on body.

Simple Kind to Skin moisturising cream SPF 30 This is fine, a light cream, just slightly uninspiring. Won't RP.

Living Proof PHD Dry Shampoo The best dry shampoo I've used (Ouai super dry shampoo close second), very dry textured (not siliconey) and creates volume.

Altruist sunscreen cream SPF 50 Use this on my body. Excellent value. Will RP when other sunscreens are depleted.

This month's decluttered:

Living Proof Full Thickening Mousse I absolutely hate this and just can't put myself through it anymore. It's very sticky and gunks up hair quickly. Also makes my scalp and hands itch terribly.

Lansinoh HPA Lanolin love pure lanolin balms but I've had this a while and it smells funny.

Tigi Rocktastic Hardcore Spray Gel I have no idea what possessed me to buy this. Possibly TKMaxx clearance. Been in my drawer for 5 years.

Pixi Endless Silky eye pencil I persevered through half the pencil but it's just impossible to sharpen. I think (if I ever buy one again) mechanical eye pencils are so much easier.

Experiment627 · 27/07/2021 06:25

Welcome @roastedbroccoli !!! Amazing decluttering!
