Beauty chat - freebies/gifts with purchase/offers

I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

I had the really ree email & looked at the Harvey Nicks GWP. Looks like there are lots of tiny sample sizes & fragrance doesn’t count in the spend.

Would love to know what came in the all beauty gwp

@Goldylion, where have you picked up that it excludes fragrance? The Really Ree post suggest it is 3 or more items across the whole of Beauty?

It’s the tiny sample sizes that put me off, there’s just not enough to know if you like it and if it’s effective. I have pretty much decided to just stick to liberty offers, as I’m always a bit disappointed with the others

It was quite a cute little bag of things. Not much but a nice touch to get with an otherwise fairly dull order of regular skincare! I've taken a pic and I'll try to attach. It was some Barbor vit c ampoules which I think was full size and then a few sachet samples and three or four perfume samples. The perfumes aren't so good for me as I'm extremely sensitive to smell (get headaches) so have only found two perfumes I can actually wear!

Dr Sebagh are doing an offer for the next 48 hours (so ends midnight 31 Mar) where they give a free neck cream (worth £120) away with any full size moisturiser bought (approx £60+ upwards if you buy without a box). Their neck cream was voted best neck cream by Harper's Bazaar.

Not the cheapest I know but Dr Sebagh products are amazing and worth every penny!!

The dr Sebagh supreme night cream is amazing. I got it free in an advent calendar a couple of years ago and scraped the pot clean. It’s £195 pounds though, so I’m back to a no. 7 one.

So the Harvey Nicols GWP is open. Who's tempted?

@HundredMilesAnHour oooh I've just had a good look on the website. I've never tried Dr Sebagh - need some samples - I don't think I've ever had one in any of my beauty boxes .. great offer for the free cream

@LizzieMacQueen I'm always tempted haha .. I do like the sound of the contents and nice to have a perfume in there .. have probably tried 50% of it so plenty to keep me interested! Bit on the fence as have the Skin Store box arriving shortly ...!

Especially keen to try the AB face oil, La Mer cream (weirdly in all my years I have never tried this!) and the TM full sized eyeliner is appealing, even tho i wish it was brown ..

I think I'll be sensible and wait for the next Liberty one though September is a looooong way off.

And I've also just splashed on some Murad products and they arrive today. I think in all it's 10 separates, what with their free samples, so I shall tell myself that's my springtime bonus.

I wonder if Liberty will do a summer box?? Really hope so! I just keep missing out. The £195 has a bit of a sting doesn't it! Lucky you - I love Murad - I've heard the retinol range is excellent

To be fair i only bought stuff that needs to be repurchased, gifts, and olaplex to make up the basket.

The GWP is the thing that's going to have the most detrimental effect to the stash. However, my mother and BF will willingly take what I won't use.

I will put it on the thread as I need to own the shame of it!

@CommanderBurnham haha good for you! We have to replenish certain things eventually right and when we do we may as well take advantage of a particularly fab GWP!! Also bonus for family and friends to get some bits from the haul

@CommanderBurnham, I also succumbed . My (paltry) excuse is that, after a tough work year, I got a decent bonus this month. The HN gift arrived today - I’m pretty pleased. As expected the main value is in the Valmont and Sheseido kits, neither of which I have tried before.
