Beauty chat - freebies/gifts with purchase/offers

I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

I missed the Liberty GWP despite being signed up

Isn't it frustrating! I checked my junk mail too and nothing - so sad!

Am very tempted by the Feelunique favourites free gift (£100 spend) mainly because a holy grail for me is the farmacy green clean and that's included. I'm just coming to the end of mine now ...

I'm on Space NK mailing list and hoping there is a GWP coming up soon as it's my birthday at the end of the week and I reckon I could justify it that way...

The best thing about the Liberty gwp are the sizes. Most things are full size which means you actually get to decide whether you like them and will re purchase.

This time around I really like the ilody serum. It’s £70 and I would never have tried it otherwise, but a couple of weeks in and around 90% of the bottle left I genuinely am already considering re buying. I never use the tiny sample sizes because they just don’t last long enough to be sure they are worth the money.

@MarzipanMadness, that is good to know about the ilody serum, which I haven’t tried yet.

I have had GWPs over the last 2 or 3 years from Liberty, Space NK and Cult Beauty. When I look back now at how much of each I have used and even repurchased, Liberty is definitely the best of the lot. (With one exception, the 2019 Space NK Christmas cracker GWP which included a rather nice bracelet and a £15 voucher, iirc.)

I haven’t had a Harvey Nicks GWP before. I think they usually do one late March. Depending on what is included, could be tempting to try this year:

Space NK’s current promotion is a buy one get one half price - code HALFOFF. I expect the GWP will be later in the month.

I’m managing to resist so far, but failed to resist the COHORTED limited edition Mother’s Day box. It arrived today, and I’m really pleased with it (pic attached).

@AprilLady that looks a beautiful box - what is the pallet? Weirdly I received an email from Space NK saying to let them know if I wanted to opt out of Mother's Day promo emails and nothing since then - so strange!

@Giftwithpurchase, it’s OFRA, which is a new brand for me, and it’s a highlighter palette (see further pic).

@Giftwithpurchase I got that mother's Day email from Space NK and opted out, I lost mum years ago and it's actually nice to have one less reminder. But I've also had no emails since then so I keep checking the website and this thread in case I've missed something!

Ummm, thinking about the Space NK offering, but think I’ll give it a miss this time. I had the last one (?November) and the GWP included a Jo Loves candle and a £25 voucher in addition to lots of skincare products I’m still working through. If I actually needed to buy anything, I would indulge, but I don’t, so I’ll hold out for the next Liberty offering, whenever that might be. Liberty do my favourite GWP’s too - always a variety of stuff, rather than just skincare, in great sizes. It’s always beautifully packed in some sort of washbag or tote as well.

I know what you mean, Shrimp - it's all very small sizes of things, and also things that have been in other GWP or advent calendars recently.

A year/18 months ago I would have gone for it, but now I know there'll be another one along soon, from Cult Beauty or Liberty or Harvey Nichols etc.

So I will quite happily sit this one out, I think - especially as there's nothing I "need" to stock up on at the moment.

Me too, I have been holding off on buying and I am starting to run out, so replenishing. (Well, and one treat-y thing just because...) There are a couple of things I am keen to try so worth it for me...

To be fair, if I was needing to stock up on things, I would probably have gone for it too, as it would be foolish not to!

@RazorstormUnicorn, @LordEmsworth enjoy! I actually think it looks pretty good; some old stuff, but also a few different things. Please report back when it arrives.

I’m not going for it, but that is because I have far too much already, and did the Liberty GWP very recently. Also, the only thing I did really want is OOS.

@RockaLock that was my thinking! This is my first GWP so it will be exciting for me. It looks like masses of stuff, so I might put a couple of bits aside for friends presents later in the year. That will make it easier to justify another!

@AprilLady That is my main gripe with Space NK - there are a few things I'd like to stock up on but they're not in stock, it happens every time there's a GWP and it's annoying...
