Beauty chat - freebies/gifts with purchase/offers

I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

I do need an Estée Lauder foundation. I’ve never used the ANR, is it good?

@LizzieMacQueen that EL gift is really good thanks for posting. I wouldn't use most of the makeup but it's worth it for the ANR alone I think! Will you get it?

@Offredismysister I really like ANR .. but have been using it for years so I think my skin is just used to it! It's probably overpriced for what it is but it just works somehow 🤷‍♀️

Unfortunately, my double wear light shade has sold out everywhere 🤷‍♀️

Oh no. I do like ANR serum but I am not a fan of the smell.

I've treated myself to it & will bulk out some xmas gifts with the bits & pieces I don't want. I'm sure I'll find a home for the red suitcase thing too.

@LizzieMacQueenits yes what to do with the red suitcase?!? If only I had nieces to gift it to - don't think my nephews would be too impressed, I often wish they wouldn't do these gifts in makeup bags and suchlike

Anyone gone onto the Cult Beauty website tonight? It’s had a revamp and now looks and feels exactly like…Look Fantastic . Gutted really, would have thought The Hut Group would have tried harder to keep its distinct look and feel.

Oh yes, very budget looking, confusing too. I wonder if they'll merge all the HUT group houses together. They're obviously sharing Tech Services.

@Offredismysister sorry you missed out - the gold tickets went very quickly.
The lipsticks and eyeshadows are not shades I’d wear but I think they would probably suit quite a few people - brown/pinks. I suit darker colours, I can’t seem to pull off red lipstick as well anymore. Clinique had one perfect for me which they discontinued.

Yesterday's ASOS beauty box has arrived and I'm really happy with it!

I do wear red lipstick but obviously not all shades suit everyone so I'm really pleased as the NARS red lip pigment is the perfect red for me! Not sure about the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick yet, I did put it on and it seemed a bit light but I didn't have any other make up on and wasn't in great lighting. The Huda eye pallete is gorgeous but I think most of the shades are too dark for me so it will make a perfect gift for someone else! Looking forward to trying out the rest, the Elemis is my regular cleanser anyway so that was a bonus to have a travel size too.

The cult website is just trash now, I really hope they listen to the feedback (everyone on one of their Instagram posts was so unhappy) and go back to how it was. Does anyone know of any upcoming GWPs at space NK or cult etc, I’m making beauty advent calendars for both my girls this year using up some of my old calendars for them, could do with some nice bits to stick in and also need to order some things for myself anyway.

I got mine yesterday too. Quite impressed. First time I’ve ever managed to get one of the gold tickets. I attended the Dermalogica online event which I thought was a bit crap tbh and only hung on to get the code for the 15 quid voucher, only to realise they emailed that out anyway! I used that for 15 quid off my skin smoothing cream. All in all excellent value. I love CT lipsticks but am always a bit disappointed with the promise of a nude pink that suits everyone. Always brick brown on me! .

The little NARS palette is lovely though and looking forward to trying the Elemis. I’ve so much stuff now I’m considering buying a bisley set of drawers to store it all in my home office. Maybe in pink. Since working from home I now use my home office to do my make up and hair. I’m loving my wee office/salon x

Used the hand balm today it's lovely. Also started an hourglass mascara from a previous GWP - it's very impressive. I would part with actual money for it.

Arghh Estée Lauder double wear light has been discontinued. I’ve ordered a sample of the normal double wear to see what it’s like.

I missed out on the ASOS box too.

@Offredismysister I really rate the Clarins hydra quench tinted moisturiser for a light covering.

@PomRuns agree 100% re mascara - I'd say 80% of my day to day makeup is now Hourglass

@Offredismysister oh no .. I used to love double-wear light for 16 hour days in the office - unbeatable for staying power. Hope you find a replacement.
