Beauty chat - freebies/gifts with purchase/offers

I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

So I actually like and use Ren Glow Tonic that's in every box. I'm about to run out. Anyone want to do a swop? I've got several cleansers that I am not bothered about trying?

@RazorstormUnicorn I would have loved to send you mine but I've been through the stash and I don't actually have any! I have successfully avoided all gifts with it in/given it to friends .. next time I get some I'll send it on as I'd love it to go to a good home!

So the Harper's Bizarre beauty box is pretty interesting. It includes a skin and me 1 month prescription & some good lip products (if you like red) .. I don't know tho - £70 seems like a lot!

Any ideas when the next Liberty one will be - early Sept or late? ....

Just placemarking in case someone knows the answer. I reckon I've got a few things I'll need to buy soon (plus a £5 Ncentive award which expires next month). Anyone know of anything before September that might be coming up?

@LilyTheMink @BookShark I'm in the same boat - need some new bits but wanting to wait until the next gift! I can't see us having to wait until September - I'm sure they'll be another summer one as I think the online beauty retailers now rely on the gifts to drive sales - we've come to expect something and wait for them to be released!

Hi all. @Giftwithpurchase, I did actually buy the Harper’s Bazaar box, but I got it with an early bird 20% off offer, which made it worthwhile. My DDs use the Elvive wonder water anyway. The other draws for me were the La Mer cream (which I had in a previous GWP and really liked), the chantecaille lip liner and the perfume; seems like a reasonable price to pay even if I use little else.

I’m guessing both SpaceNK and Cult Beauty will do June GWPs - think they have in the past.

Anyone’s guess what Liberty will do; their last GWP took a while to sell out, so unless they plan another big Iphis style one, it’s possible there will be nothing until their usual September GWP.

@AprilLady great you snagged the Bazaar box with 20% off .. I think that's a really good one for that price. I also wanted it for the La Mer as I have never tried any of the line and am curious to (now my skin is getting older and dryer!) ..
I think you're spot on about CB & Space NK. Like you say the Liberty really hung around. Maybe it was the wash-bag - every one has too many of those, even tho this was a gorgeous print! I REALLY hope they do a tote for the next gift - I want a nicer nappy bag haha

Ordered the M&S bag, stocked up on pants, socks and leggings and got a cheap black with white spots dress ready for a return to the office(if it ever happens).
It says the bag will come separately and may take 10 days.

Me too @jay55 .. also bought pants 🤣 .. to be fair I'm still wearing my pregnancy ones so definitely needed new! Also bought some black linen shorts - am click and collect for the items but beauty bag is postage only .. apparently delivery by 5th June ...

Slightly annoyed with myself as in the last 10 days I have ordered leggings and men's underwear. Wish I'd waited. Mind you the leggings are still in their m&s parcel in my hall. I suppose I could return them and then reorder to get to the minimum spend?

I would @LizzieMacQueen .. it's so easy to return to M&S now - our local one is all automated and saves queuing etc .. that way you can get an exciting treat with boring purchases 😆

I got mine in store today - they had plenty available. I’d been deliberately waiting to get a few things.

I caved. So i now have two new pairs of leggings and new knickers for me. I'll return the pair still in packaging. I've developed quite a stockpile. What's in the M&S box that's getting you all excited, the eye cream?

I’ve gone for the M&S. Treated myself to a summery midi dress , now that the weather is finally perking up. @LizzieMacQueen - yes, the eye cream was one of the big draws for me, plus dd has her eye on the Aveda product. Love having a play with the stuff in these boxes and they are such a great price!

I think for me it's the shower oil, the Ren dark spot cream (doubt it will help my melasma but willing to try while I save up for laser treatment) and weirdly the nail polish - I only ever wear neutral nails but suddenly fancied a bright pop on my toes!

I want it for the Aveda hair product and the eye cream.

I don't wear nail polish often but if it's a good colour IRL then that's good.

Curious about the perfume scent and the Glow product too plus the wash bag is quite a nice colour.

Same the Aveda and the eye cream made it more than worth it and if I like the scent or anything else it will be a bonus.

Does anyone know how quickly the M&S beauty boxes tend to sell out?

I might want some more things from M&S and wondering whether to order one for my mum but if might not be today

Space NK have £20 off £100 spend so I’ve finally ordered the byredo perfume I’ve been wanting for ages. Got 3 decent samples too.

I was tempted by the 20% off at Cult Beauty and/or Soace NK, but I think in the past their 20% offs have been closely followed by a GWP.

So I'm hanging on and keeping my fingers crossed!

New GWP at Cult Beauty. I’m not hugely excited by the contents personally - although £65 is a really good minimum spend so if you have a few bits to buy it could be good time to get them from Cult Beauty.
