Beauty chat - freebies/gifts with purchase/offers

I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

Hmmm I'm not particularly excited by the CB gift either @Betsy88 .. although I love the green clean cleanser and the Tokyo scalp scrub is really good. The £65 min spend is more like it tho!

Not a GWP offer but brand alley have some good deals on beauty. Last week I got 2 full sized elemis Pro collagen oxygenating night creams for £85 and today just ordered 6 birch boxes for £32.
I told myself no more stuff until the next gwp but couldn't resist 😆

@JourneyToHappiness thanks for sharing - those deals sound great. Interested in the Elemis one as I love the pro collegen ultra rich but I hate the price tag! Off to check out Brand alley!

I had a look for the Elemis marine cream. They've only got a 15ml now. I got some in an advent calendar and really liked it so I probably will buy it again when there's a good deal

@Giftwithpurchase I hadn’t heard of that cleanser but did think it looked nice. Scalp scrubs seem to be all the rage now - I’ve had a couple in previous GWPs. Why is the Tokyo one so good?

I must admit, I had another look at the Cult Beauty gift yesterday and got to the stage of putting over £65 worth of stuff in my basket, then realised I didn’t really need any of it and stopped myself (and the one thing I do actually need - a new Nars tinted moisturiser- they were of stock of). There is something slightly warped about an apparently eco-friendly GWP that just encourages people to buy more stuff. Surely the most eco-friendly thing to do is not buy anything (and not get a load of minis too)!

@Betsy88 it's a difficult one isn't it! I suppose it's highlighting eco brands for ppl who want to make the switch and try something new/aren't sure which brands are classed that way .. but yes it's definitely better not to buy more..but then it also helps having treats to look fwd to atm
The Green Clean cleanser is the best I've ever tried for removing makeup and not leaving a film, it's so expensive otherwise I'd always repurchase it.
The Tokyo scrub is nice because it dissolves completely and makes hair feel really clean - I hate any residue feeling and it doesn't leave one

Posted too soon .. I'm back from a few days away and my M&S box has been delivered. Will open it tomorrow and paint my toes!!! How have ppl found it? Any stand out products?

I've got my M&S summer gift. The perfume is ok. I wouldn't buy it but I'll use it. The eye cream seems ok but I've only used it once.

I got the m and s gift too. I really like the REN dark spot sleeping cream, I think I’ll definitely rebuy that. Makes a nice change to get a moisturiser rather than a cleanser.

Went onto qvc to check elemis deals and just spent £200. Send help !

They have two bundle deals and a special on the watermint cleansing balm (smells amazing)

I'm easily sucked in by qvc deals and the elemis that ones can be quite good.

I put in an order this week for the nee creamy tarte shape tape, uk lash and a light up mirror set which was a really good price.

I've had the UK lash before and it really made my lashes grow so I recommend it.

Cult Beauty are doing their Haul of Fame voting thingy and give you a money off code for completing it - I got £10 off - not amazing but better than nothing!

Yes please @ElderMillennial .. not beauty related but I'm very tempted by some of the Lola rose jewellery ... I've been battling PND this past year and am finally starting to feel a little better and it would be nice to start wearing some jewellery again

I got my m and s beauty bag today and the glass end of the perfume literally just broke off..perfume all over me, duvet and wooden floor...argh! Can't believe it! So I have emailed them..

@Housewife2010, I did succumb although I missed the three free scents. I’ve been trying to expand my horizons fragrance wise, so ordered the two discovery sets and a hand and body wash I know I’ll use, rather than blind buying one of the perfumes. I got Heartless Helen free, which based on the fragrance notes looks like my sort of scent.
