Beauty chat - freebies/gifts with purchase/offers

I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

@TheChosenTwo boo re the CT lip balm - I've had very similar experiences with her lip products - glad you got some other lovely goodies tho!

I've been using the Augustinus Bader face cream and oil all week and I think my skin is drier than everConfused

No, have been enjoying my new drunk elephant serums but will try it soon. Did make it feel like a proper gift though.

My Liberty order and gift arrived today 😊. Nice selection of products in the gift but this is the first time I’ve had a GWP from Liberty and everything has fitted inside the washbag! - sizes definitely less generous than in the past, but I suppose that was inevitable given the regularity with which gifts now appear. I got the NARS eyeliner which I was pleased about as I already have a Tolede lipstick. My Surratt lip baton was in the darkest shade, Diabolique, I think. Not my usual thing, but I’ll give it a go. There was one of these Surratt batons in the Liberty advent calendar few years back, a red shade I really liked. My Mario Badescu spray was the aloe, herbs and rose water one. Looking forward to trying some of this haul 😊

@Giftwithpurchase to be fair it’s the only time I’ve been disappointed with one of her lip products, I love walk of shame in other formulas but this is just invisible! And as for pillow walk, well I think it just goes to show that no shade will ever be universally flattering Grin I know it’s not a shade that suits me (in any formula) so I knew that freebie would be going to a good home.
I’ve got a fair few bits of CT makeup and not been disappointed until this one!

My space nk has arrived but I haven't had a good look at it yet. Was impressed by the size of the free extra fake tan lotion though.

I got an hourglass lip oil as part of my space nk spend and I'm really disappointed with it so far. It's pretty drying and given it cost £48 I was expecting actual miracles!

What is it with Augustinus Bader? Absolutely everywhere at the moment and so expensive - and yet nothing special as far as I can tell.

I only use lancome for skincare and cosmetics. Love their products. Lots of freebies with each order and Christmas gift boxes are brilliant. I have not bought eyeshadow lipstick mascara cleanser body lotion or toner in years. Just buy moisture products foundation and enhancers

I also got the CB and it was massive! I thought it would be much smaller ie sample sizes. Will give away the hideous Huda beauty lipstick but otherwise thrilled

The Liberty wash bag is the nicest one I have had so far (and I have several!)

It’s not the most thrilling gwp I’ve had from there though, February’s was definitely better. I wish they would include a few moisturisers rather than loads of cleansers, and I already gave both lip balms to dd as I am pretty faithful to my sol de Janeira one these days. Still, there are a few new things to try, the bag is lovely and I needed what I bought anyway.

I’ve just had an email from John Lewis, they’ve launched their GWP to Rewards Memebers. Free with £100 spend.
I’ve gone for that as my Friday treat Blush

I’m a John Lewis Rewards member but not had an email and can’t see any mention of it on my account. Must be for VIPs! What’s in it @redroses86 - is it a good one?

I can’t find a list of contents to send you for the John Lewis one. But there’s Laura Mercia eyeshadow, Mac, Hourglass veil, Elemis, Ren, Rituals, Nars mascara.
I had to log into my Rewards to find it, it’s not on the main website.

I got an email but it took me ages to actually find the box to add it. I had to log in via the app to get it. I still can’t find the contents list for you either. But definitely worth looking out for as the spend is lower then the other big ones and there’s still some nice things in there.

Hmm as a regular JL customer it's a bit annoying not to get an email or find the beauty box online, even when logged in.

I’ve found this info about it on a different site - which includes the code. But you’d still need to find the beauty box online to put it into your basket.
