Beauty chat - freebies/gifts with purchase/offers

I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

@AprilLady oooh interesting! So glad you were able to get your perfume - it sounds amazing. It seems like lots of us want a new scent atm and it's a great way to get to those spending limits!!

@LizzieMacQueen absolutely no need to justify in my opinion! Plus shampoo is really very necessary - hope you enjoy your gifts!

As for CT lip..... I have the Matt lipstick which looks a little brown on me. However.... this gloss (CB GWP) is perfect! I'm so chuffed! I have very thin lips and this works so well

I've started filling my empty Fenwick calendar with the bits I don't want for my sister in law for Xmas. I did a last minute one for her this year but ended up buying a few bits to fill it which I'm hoping to avoid this year. I'm keeping liberty one as I can't bear to let it go.

I just received a CB goody bag, pretty impressed.

Have used the mascara which I really like.
The cleansing balm but couldn't find a muslin was nice enough.
The oskia mask made my skin very soft.
Not sure about the glow toner yet, felt like I needed to use a lot.

Just saw that Liberty are doing GWP tomorrow from 10am. Can’t see the details of what’s in it, but says it’s worth over £300 and you get it with £175 spend.

Ok, so I have now succumbed to the Liberty offering 😊. I have Cult Beauty here, still to be fully investigated, but I did miss out on SpaceNK - dithered for a while and it sold out! As Liberty is the last of the ‘big three’ to release this Spring, I’m assuming it will be a while now until the next significant GWP? So with that in mind I can fully justify (to myself) a further spend 😊. I’ve ordered some Votary cleansing oil; shampoo and hair styling products; Aurelia deodorant (think I ‘discovered’ this in an advent calendar and actually really like it) and a couple of bath and shower bits that can either be gifts, or, more likely , gifts for me🤣. Liberty are usually pretty quick off the mark with delivery so there should be something to look forward to by the end of this week / early next.......

To anyone who has ordered off liberty to get the GWP, did the GWP appear in your order confirmation email? It was definitely in my bag but not on the order confirmation email. Wondering if I need to contact customer services before it sells out

@Pepelepettigrew, definitely contact customer services. Did you use any vouchers/discounts? The £175 spend needs to be AFTER any vouchers or discounts.

Yes I used the 10% off but it was still £220 after that so should have still applied. I have emailed them so fingers crossed 🤞

Maybe it’s just discounts then. I used a discount code last time that took me below minimum spend, and my gift disappeared from the confirmation email. Customer services were very helpful and responsive though, and it all got sorted in the end.

Yes, @AprilLady, I love the Votary cleansing oil. I’m sure I first came across it in a Liberty advent calendar or gift and have been consistently repurchasing ever since. I also use the Votary superseed serum and moisturiser, both of which I ‘discovered’ from either an advent calendar or GWP.. (Note to Liberty - these promotions offering products through advent calendars and/or GWP’s really do work. I’ve discovered a fair few of my ‘favourites’ this way 😊).

They've come back to say it was an error and it will be dispatched as normal. Phew! Just incase anyone else has the same issue

Just opened up my space nk parcel. Not as good as the cult beauty gift, though the drunk elephant micellar water and Sunday Riley moisturiser are very generous sizes, as is the tanning extra freebie.

I'm super happy with all my products though and will have a fun few evenings playing.

I’ve also ordered the Liberty. I really did need some dermalogica stuff so got to the £175 easily and without feeling too guilty.

You’re right @Luvacuppatea, the promotions do work. Everything I ordered I originally got in a calendar or gwp. I also really like the aurelia deodorant, I think it was in a Liberty Calendar 2 years ago, and it’s the only one I use now (along with a tiny spatula from Amazon to stop it getting under my nails when I scrape it out of the jar)

Oh god now I am tempted by Liberty and was planning to weight until the October one.

I ordered from CB as the GWP was better for me than the one at SNK. Loads of things I’ve tried in the SNK one that I really don’t like and I’m sick of seeing that gloopy Augustinus bader everywhere!
I’ve given away the CT pillowtalk to a friend, it is like concealer on my lips anyway and I wasn’t even tempted to try this, I reckon it would have looked really frosty on me and a few of the bits I already have so passed on to the dds but overall I’m happy. Needed a couple of bits anyway so it was easy to reach the spend threshold. I got the allies of skin vitamin c serum, olaplex 8, REN jelly cleanser and then a Charlotte tilbury lip bath in walk of shame (don’t recommend, hardly any colour, it’s basically a stupidly overpriced sheer lipgloss! Very annoying as I wouldn’t have bought it if I’d known it was virtually colourless).

That’s very annoying re the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick as they are expensive. I have never received bought any of her stuff and don’t wear what I have, she has excellent marketing though so I’ve nearly bought it loads of times!

Ok so I keep revisiting the Liberty gift - it looks really good. I would like to receive the Nars liner rather than the lip pencil I think .. it has a really good mix of products and of course the washbag is gorg. They've all been pretty good gifts this spring but I think CB just takes the prize for the best selection.
Interestingly I just received an email that Space NK now stock Dermalogica - so that will make those min spends easier 😆..
I've decided I want a red light face mask and may splurge on the Dr Gross one from cult beauty - so will wait patiently until the next gift.
Oh yes and thank you for recommending the Aurelia deo - I've been making the switch to natural deo for the last few months and it's been hit and miss. Currently trying the Mitchem natural deo and it's the best I've tried so far (for £3.99 too!)
