Beauty chat - freebies/gifts with purchase/offers

I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

Agree that the Harrods GWP doesn't look amazing, especially with a £300 spend!

I think I like the look of Cult Beauty over SpaceNK. Might have to bite the bullet!

I've ordered the cult beauty one, was looking for an offer as I needed some moisturiser so it was easy to get to the minimum.

@HarryJey, CB and Harrods are on now, Space NK tomorrow, and Liberty starts early May.

Umm, Space NK. Had to smile at the Nars orgasm blush making a reappearance @Giftwithpurchase - it’s been a little while since we had one of those in a GWP and I see the Eve Lom cleanser is making a comeback 🤣. Not really tempted with this one. Despite my earlier reservations I think I’ll definitely be getting Liberty (again) as I’m already compiling my shopping list! Notification from CB yesterday evening that my order has been dispatched, so hopefully that will be here in a day or so....

@Giftwithpurchase I've just tried the Charlotte tilbury lip lustre. I don't have the lipstick in this shade so can't comment on that but it's a nice neutral colour and feels pretty good on.

I'm also going to get the space nk GWP as I think it looks better than Liberty (how many Liberty make up bags does one person need?!)

I got the harrods advent calendar one year and that was the same with tiny sample products - so disappointing!

See, I really fancy the cult beauty one but the things I would normally buy as staples to reach the maximum spend aren’t stocked there. Dermalogica, Mario Badescu (best spot cream known to man). It’s very annoying

Ooh interesting - I don't have much luck with CT products - like about 50% of what I try .. am so tempted by the CB gift

@Carrotsoupispoo I agree that there are gaps in the CB brand inventory .. I'd be the same if they stocked dermalogica.
They have Elemis now but not the night cream I use annoyingly .. also they have Pailas choice but I prefer to order direct as get loads of samples/discount codes (not that I need more!)

My cult beauty GWP has arrived & overall I’m impressed. There are a few tiny items, but it comes in a big zip bag, with the smaller Kraft paper bag inside. I will put the Charlotte tilbury lipgloss on eBay as pillow talk does not suit me, despite CT saying it suits everyone. I may possibly put the Huda Beauty lipstick on aswell as the colour looks like it will make me look like a corpse.

Just got my Cult Beauty gwp , very exciting as not had a big gwp like this before. It feels like Christmas 😊. Overall think this much nicer than Space NK, the Orgasm blush puts me off straight away!

Other than the weird paper bag and the Huda lipstick I like everything in the Cult beauty gift.
Super happy with it. Love the main zip up bag too, great for packing underwear in when going on holiday.

Still ordered SpaceNK this morning too, I think going out again means I want to replace everything. Plus I am extra pale from being inside so long excuse for new makeup

I got the SpaceNK GWP in March, so don't really feel I need another one already....

Except I want to buy a full size bottle of MM Beach Walk which would take me a long way towards the GWP....

I am going in store on Sunday to collect a shower gel I ordered so I might roll the dice. If I see stuff in store that gets me to £175 and they still have it available then I'll go for it. If it's sold out then it wasn't to be and I'll wait for another.

I've just ordered the space nk. I've also realised I'm almost out of perfume (le labo) so looks like I can get the Liberty GWP too.

I missed out on an advent calendar this year so making up for it now!

Ooh I spent a load on CB so have the gwp coming, think it's my first one & never done an advent calendar before either so will be interested.

As pp said the CB lipgloss & Huda lipstick will go on ebay as I don't wear gloss or like the nude shade. I did buy my first ever CB lipstick though (usually wear Mac) so that will be interesting.

So, after much deliberation I actually went for the Harrods GWP rather than any of the others. The main reason was actually a perfume I really wanted. I’d got a sample previously and loved it, but it is very expensive and not sold at CB, Space NK or Liberty. Using the excuse of a GWP to buy it at least makes it feel better value. Harrods also had a few other things I really wanted, which made up the full spend.

Having ordered yesterday afternoon everything (except the much looked forward to perfume which is still to be dispatched!) arrived today, and it’s actually quite a bit better than I was expecting.

The bag is a shopping tote, it’s fully reversible and comes with a little purse (pic attached). It’s faux leather and not as nice as the Iphis, but very useable. There is also a nicely done booklet included with information about each of the products. Most are small, but even so most come individually boxed.

So far the only thing I have tried is the fragrance. It’s not one I’d heard if before (Thameen Peregrina) but it is exactly my sort of scent, and one of the more generously sized items at 10ml.

So actually rather pleased with it overall.

Hello! I haven't read the thread yet but joining because I received my CB GWP today. I'm currently soothing my skin with votary facial oil after scorching it with REN toner. Omg that bastard stung!!!!

I'm like a kid in a massive sweet shop. And feeling slightly compensated after having missed out on the advent calendar

Well I caved too! Both SpaceNK and Cult Beauty. I have a lot of shampoo coming. Annoying that John Lewis has a 15% off promo on Aveda at the moment too. Ah well. It was pay day and I'm very short of treats right now.

Really happy for those of you who have had the CB and Space NK gifts arrive and are enjoying them. It's really so much fun opening them!!
Interesting that lots of ppl feel the same way about the CB lip products. It must be hard choosing the makeup items I always think. They've obviously gone for nude as they think most ppl would appreciate this - but that's not necessarily the case! It's like the orgasm blush - I have nothing against Nars blushers - just wish they would chose a different shade - they have some stunning ones

@supadupapupascupa sorry the Ren stung - it can take a while to get used to those toners - maybe put on your less delicate areas - I use up a lot of products I don't get on with on my neck and chest
You could always buy an empty advent calendar on eBay and fill it without looking to get a mid year advent calendar - that's what I do as a pick me up!

@jay55 know what you mean about wanting to replace everything .. I feels like I want to emerge like a butterfly hahaha
