Beauty chat - freebies/gifts with purchase/offers

I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

I've been waiting for a GWP for ages so had quite a lot to stock up on. Also went for sol de janeiro but the coco loco one, Aesop and some Elemis.

Gah! Cult Beauty would be the only place not to stock Aromatherapy Associates. Oh well, stops me buying more things to get a gift that looks lovely but I probably don’t need (still working my way through CB advent calendar bits).

I wonder if Space NK and Liberty will do any more soon or if that’s them done until the autumn now.

I’ve just caved as well, after successfully sitting on my hands all day! Ordered the Cult Beauty sunshine edit box for dd who is in tropical North Queensland, Aus., and some Malin and Goetz as a birthday gift for a friend. For myself I’ve gone for shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and shower gel (plus of course, the gift is for me too 😂). Had planned on getting some Votary stuff, but that’s on hold in case Liberty come up with an offering before the autumn.......

Having had a look, I think I prefer the Cult Beauty GWP over Liberty.

I wasn't expecting another SpaceNK GWP until June. Do I bite and go for Cult Beauty (the spendy moisturiser I wanted is out of stock there, grr) or hang on for SpaceNK? Decisions, decisions!

Had a look at the contents of the upcoming Liberty gift and have to say that (for the first time) I’m disappointed! No candle or perfume and some ‘repeat’ items from recent offerings. No Iphis bag either, just another washbag that I really don’t need ☹️. Quite a low value for Liberty too. Really pleased that I went for the CB GWP now. Awaiting SpaceNK with interest......

Just had another look at the Upcoming Liberty offering and I see that the required spend will be £175. I think it was £250 last time, for the Iphis tote? Despite what I said earlier, I can see myself getting sucked in and going for this - honestly, I think I’m addicted to beauty gifts! A major part of the ‘fun’ for me is picking out what to buy to meet the required spend, so I’m off to peruse the Liberty site AGAIN 😂

I know what you mean @Luvacuppatea. I’m tempted every time, but need to rein it in as I’m starting a new job & need a work wardrobe as I’m in uniform at the minute.

You wait ages for a gift and then three come along at once!! I agree that the CB gift is definitely better than the Liberty gift (although it's all personal preference of course).. I really don't like Ren (especially the toner) and cannot stand the Omorovicza facial spray - I have three already! So think the Liberty is a no sadly. Not sure of the exact contents of Space NK - says updating soon, so that will be interesting..

@Offredismysister I really like that lip balm - it smells so nice. Bit funny to apply as it has a massive surface area for a lip balm haha

@Luvacuppatea like the look of the sunshine edit box. I'm an spf freak (also after living in Aus) and it looked really good

@RockaLock one thing I find about CB is a lot of things go out of stock. It's annoying isn't it. I always sign up to be notified when they're back and it tends to be after the free gift has ended grrr

I need something to make me rein in my spending @Offredismysister. ‘The virus’ means that my holiday budget from last year is still largely unspent and we’ve nothing booked for this year yet either, so that money is now funding my (expensive) habit 😂.
@Giftwithpurchase - yes, I find it slightly annoying that what I regard as the ‘big three’ GWP’s (Liberty, CB and SpaceNK) seem to come along together. I imagine they have their gifts ready and waiting and as soon as one company releases theirs, the others ‘pounce’ to grab a share of the consumer spend hahahah

I've got enough of a beauty backlog for one more gift after cult beauty but I agree that the Liberty gift isn't brilliant. I got quite a few similar items in the last Liberty GWP.

My cult beauty GWP has just arrived! V good service from CB, I only put my order in yesterday afternoon. Haven't had time to have a proper look yet but first impressions are positive - there are lots of good size products to try and only a couple of very small ones.

Be keen to know what ppl with the CB gift think of the Charlotte T lip product, given it's in shade Pillow Talk I wonder if it's darker than the lipstick? Looks as if it might be.. would also love to know what you think of the Glow recipe toner - that's the one thing which has me tempted to get the gift...

I saw something about the Harrods gift @Giftwithpurchase. Very spendy, plus I couldn’t see the sizes of all the products included, or a total gift value. Perhaps if you do all your shopping at Harrods you don’t need to concern yourself with such things? 🤣

Really Ree now has details of the Space NK GWP too. Starts tomorrow.
