SO the last 'edition' took over a year to complete. Must try harder Voguettes. Despite the fact that we are still in lockdown, and rarely out of loungewear, there is still inspiration to be found. Spring is springing, brighter days are on the horizon and homeschooling CANNOT last forever (not if miniShop wants to live anyway).
So join us for style & beauty chat, and other inspiration as we navigate our way as stylishly as possible through lockdown 3.

@Themarvellousmrsm i also have a Rains coat. I think @BlairWaldorfLovesShopping introduced me to them.

So my event.... I loved the cowl dress the most but I decided that I have a lot of party/event dresses that I have worn just once so I raided the wardrobe and dug out a beautiful red cocktail dress with thin spaghetti double straps with red Aquazzura suede heels and black evening bag. The YSL LouLou would have been perfect! I went to town on jewellery.Grin

My other outing this weekend was a more casual affair so i wore this Chloé zebra print top with M&S high waisted blue jeans, a beige blazer and some fabulous Rag & Bone orange loafers. Again I was thinking the LouLou bag would have been goodGrin

Maybe cover up the grey until more of it is grey? It's like at that awkward stage? It looks very lush by the way. The water must suit your hair!
libertyonhertravels · 14/09/2021 08:37

Thanks @CarolineBingley. My hair is in the best condition it has been in years. I suspect it's that I'm not colouring it and not using products for coloured hair. I'm using Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly shampoo, conditioner and gel and it's just fantastic stuff. Half the price of previous hair products but much better.

So I am reluctant to colour it!! I'm wondering if there is a clever haircut that might get me through.

Your outfits sound fabulous though I'm astounded at you wearing loafers Smile

Themarvellousmrsm · 14/09/2021 12:55

Your hair is looking lovely Lib, gorgeous curls. Not sure what style can be cut in to disguise the grey though (I already asked!) My lovely new hairdresser has blended white/blond highlights with the grey including a stripe at the side to give a bit of interest - the base colour is all my natural colour now. I decided it was the least painful way to go grey gracefully.

It's absolutely throwing it down and no sign of abating-had to walk to work in my dog walking coat (Seasalt Janelle) as it reaches my ankles-could really have done with the new one today.

Themarvellousmrsm · 14/09/2021 13:26

Met Gala linky, I’m struggling to find much I like outfit wise but some fab hair and makeup. I do have my eye on ASAP’s cloak, would be cosy to snuggle under on the sofa and Kristen Stewart’s Chanel jacket is gorgeous.

DryWhiteagainW · 14/09/2021 21:54

Lib you’re looking a bit washed out...maybe a new foundation to brighten you up a bit Grin

CarolineBingley · 14/09/2021 22:07

@libertyonhertravels totally understand why don't want to colour it! Actually on the hair front, lockdown stress, doing my own hair etc has lead to my hair being very thin. I have been taking hair vitamins for the last 4 weeks and it has genuinely made a difference. You're right, me and loafers wouldn't ordinarily go together in a sentence Here they are on amazon of all places.

Yesterday i wore a navy blue Hobbs dress which looks like this one today with R&B gold ballet flats. Dd asked me if I had put the dress on the right way around!

@Themarvellousmrsm I think we are just supposed to marvel at the weird and wonderful outfits for the Met galaGrin

CarolineBingley · 14/09/2021 22:08

Rag and Bone copper suede loafers!

Shop I have had a preview 20% off Whistles email sent to me.
There's no link as such so I can't share but I think that means it will go out generally when the preview ends tomorrow.

VivaVegas · 15/09/2021 09:29

So can I please ask for some bag advice (and no I don't want a bench!).

I recently sold my marital jewellery and want to buy myself a nice bag, something I've never done before. I want to buy something that's just for me and not fritter the money away.

I want one I can wear at weekends and for going out rather than a work bag and probably crossbody as that's what I tend to use more.

I've always hankered after a Gucci Disco but never been able to afford it. They are still doing them but not sure if there's anything else along those lines. I've looked at a Loewe Puzzle but think it might be too big and are more than I want to spend really.

Budget up to £1500, ideally nearer £1000 and probably black to go with everything.

Thank you!

shopafrolic · 15/09/2021 10:38

Having placed a big Whistles order yesterday, I got emailed a 20% off preview today! Luckily customer services will refund once I decide what I'm keeping - will link once I've tried

There's a mini too

VivaVegas · 15/09/2021 10:57

Interesting Shop that's really nice, silver hardware definitely a preference.

libertyonhertravels · 15/09/2021 11:39

The YSL bag is gorgeous. Looks very practical too.

Grin at @DryWhiteagainW

@Themarvellousmrsm some highlights at the ends might be the way to go, I'm thinking of getting a shaggy bob with a fringe so even just a few highlights around the front where most of the grey is could work.

@CarolineBingley I really like those loafers.

shopafrolic · 15/09/2021 13:21

I was so focussed on your bag @VivaVegas I missed that you’d mentioned the Whistles preview. Thanks for thinking of me Smile

Viva I wouldn’t get the Gucci Disco. Bought mine when they first came out, still love it but they’re everywhere now and I keep bumping into young women with them Shock

QueenCremant · 15/09/2021 21:34

Ooh @VivaVegas how exciting. I keep wondering what to do with my jewellery too. One of the reasons I haven’t yet is because I don’t know what I’d do with the money as I’d want to do or buy something fab. I bought a mulberry as my divorce present to myself though!

@libertyonhertravels your hair looks lush. No idea about colouring though.

VivaVegas · 15/09/2021 22:05

I want to buy sone thing just for me that I've never been able to do before!

Unfortunately you don't get anywhere near the true value for second hand wedding and engagement rings (for obvious reasons!) but my friends husband is a gold dealer so I got the best deal I could!

I traded my very boring sensible car in for a new sporty model when my divorce went through!

Ellewoods20 · 16/09/2021 22:23

I’m back! Had a very stressful time and completely lost my fashion mojo. Thankfully all is fine and the shopping had returned! Couldn’t resist buying some tweed co ords for the winter. And a gorgeous satin shirt from Zara (hopefully the picture attaches). Will catch up properly later. Hope everyone’s well!

Kittyhello · 17/09/2021 17:58

Welcome back @Ellewoods20 lovely blouse

@VivaVegas I'm still loving my Gucci Marmont, this one but it's not black Tbh I regret not buying a black one as I would have used it a lot more. To max out your budget I would go for this one

I too love the SL that @shopafrolic linked and it was a toss us between the two and I love it in green green SL camera bag

love Bottega

Chloe's are lovely too

@DryWhiteagainW Grin

@libertyonhertravels I've had similar done to my hair as @Themarvellousmrsm and have had a light colour blended in to camouflage the grey. Failing that you may have to have the chop and have a hairstyle that you can't tie so you wear it down all the time so your roots aren't visible - a bob?

@CarolineBingley your event outfit sounds wonderful and very you.

No fashion new from me - well apart from some Teva's but i'm not sure if there fashion or not - they're very comfortable.

boring but comfortable Teva's I wore them with turned up Boyfriend jeans and Mom jeans. I'm still unsure about Mom jeans but it's nice not wearing skinnies.

VivaVegas · 17/09/2021 22:22

Thanks for the bag ideas @Kittyhello if the Gucci's had silver hardware I'd definitely go for one of those.

The Bottega is really lovely 🤔

Out with friends tonight, so nice to be out and able to go to the bar for drinks and to not have to wear a mask.

Home early doors as off to a spa for the rest of the weekend in the morning.

Fashion for the rest of the weekend, will be a robe and flip flops 🤣
