Sotd byredo gypsy water, giving it another spin because it wasn’t love first time round. Still not love though I do like it, it’s certainly not buy a bottle worthy.

We’re just in from a bike ride and someone was burning leaves in their back garden, there was this most beautiful wispy waft of smokiness mixed in with the woody smell off the path we were on and it make me hanker for a delicately smokey woody scent. Anyone have any ideas? It just make me feel like summer was round the corner and was delicious, I’d have bottled it there and then if I could have

My tuesday 4160 samples landed today so sote is take me to the river, it’s lovely, deep and heavy, not an everyday scent but I’m loving it tonight nestled into the sofa with the cat on my knee and a drink in hand.

Sotd Lancôme Miracle.

I’ve bought many new perfumes during the various lockdowns, including the PP By the Fireplace which made my husband ask if I’d burnt something while cooking dinner (heathen).

SOTD La Nuit Tresor from a sample. Made me realise why MMM By the Fireplace is as sweet as I usually go; the toffee vanilla scent was warmly enveloping but too cloying. None of the fresher top notes (orange, bergamot) came through for me.

Yeah, I can't go much sweeter than BTF tbh. Sadly, the fashion in the mainstream perfume world atm seems to be cloying, sweet, fruity scents. Often aimed at young women. Bluergh.🤮

I'm a giant gourmand lover I like gold sugar, kyse (most of their stuff), anything marshmallow
Although every time I wear douceur brûlée to work, apparently I smell like golden syrup. In the words of one of the salesmen "it's not a bad thing but it makes me hungry"

I quite like vanilla and marshmallow in fragrance...its the cloying smell of honey/tropical fruit/coconut that makes me 🤮
I can't do aquatic scents either as I'm either anosmic to them or they make my nose itch.
Al rehab choco musk does make me smell like desert though 🍰

I remember Body Shop Vanilla and Impulse Vanilla flavours from back in the day. The smell of secondary school changing rooms!

I've tried and failed to like anything with fig, but adore peach and orange in all it's forms. Dyptique Eau Des Sens is one of my favourites and what I wore on my wedding day.
