It's too hot, so am drinking lots of tea. It does work.
SOTD original Eau Sauvage edp, a birthday present.
It's very refreshing, and has an almost astringent quality, perfect for this weather. It opens with a sharp blast of bitter lemon and bergamot, made slightly medicinal by a herbal lavender. This disappears quite quickly, and the heart and base smell similar to my nose, sort of peppery and spicy from carnation (like the warm smell of ground turmeric), which makes my nose tingle; and then green, very dry (so dry, almost dusty) from what I think is patchouli and vetiver. The vetiver to me doesn't have that powdery quality it sometimes gets, but instead is almost woody. Many hours later, I can smell pencil shavings, which is actually quite pleasant. This is definitely a new love, but I can't think what it reminds me of. I'm sure I've smelled something similar before.
I'm not sure the note listings for this are quite right on fragrantica, they've missed things out, but then I do sometimes disagree with their note pyramids (and the reviews).
If any of you lovely smelling lot have this, I would love to hear your opinions.
