Lipstick Challenge - a different lipstick each day of Jan!

I remember a similar thread a few years ago that went down well

The idea is to use a different lipstick every day and share with the thread whether a review, photo, anything! It isn't about buying new ones necessarily but rediscovering ones you already own.

We do a NYD dinner here so will put a nice new one on for that tomorrow and report back!

I do like that colour but wondering if it would be a bit 'brown' on me.

Yesterday I had a busy day out at meetings, ended up with my handbag lipstick which is Elizabeth Arden Crystal Baby. Today its Elizabeth Arden Jazz which is a metallic bronze, not that you can see in my photo :/

@Deathraystare it's much more brown in the picture than real life. This is the picture from the revlon website but it's not quite as red as that on.

This is collection China Rose.says lasting colour but it's more like a strong coloured lipgloss that a lasting one colour lipstick.like it though

@AlwaysReadyForABlether I really like the Maybelline gloss- it looks like my kind of colour!

@FreekStar I really liked it. Felt very moisturising - it does say it has added hyaluronic acid. I've got it in another colour still to try.

Thanks @RedLipsAndRosyCheeks, I really like your revlon one too. I have a new revlon ultra HD matte lip mousse I haven't worn yet, its a red shade but I can't for the life of me find a shade name or number on the label . I might try it tomorrow. Todays was an old Barry M lipstick shade 167, which I never usually wear. In person it doesn't suit me & looks too pale pink but actually on the photo it isn't too bad, doesn't really look like I'm wearing anything. It has a nice glossy texture though.

@Lilypad78 they are sneaky and hide the revlon number/ colour on the bottom (I think left) of the label. It took me ages to find it the first time!

Very shimmery Elizabeth Arden nude. Name begins with a C but its rubbed off a bit. I need to wear this more as it looks great in person!

i really like that pinot pop AlwaysReady. Love the formula and have had spritz pop and rosewater pop before. would love to buy rosewater again but think it must be discontinued

Ive got mac Twig on today. its a slight shade darker than mac mehr but really similar to be honest.

Avidly watching. Some lovely reds but can anyone recommend a bright, flattering coral?
I’m deathly pale but had my colours done, while ago now, & was Blue Spring so need warm leaning colours, can’t do anything with a cool/mauve/blue undertone, makes me look like Morticia’s dead sister.

@Darklane can't help with coral suggestions unfortunately but I'm sure that someone will be able to help soon.

This thread is really cheering me up at the moment. There is so little joy going on in all our lives that it's so lovely to have this to look forward to wearing a new/old favourite/overlooked lipstick and seeing all of yours too so thank you everyone!

i haven't used them but have got gift sets for my family of Clarins which always seem to have lip perfector gloss tubes in them. the ladies in my life are grey/blue eyes and they raved about the peachy shade. its not lipstick but easy to wear and has warm tint

Well I say “hoard”, it’s 3 but hey that’s a start! They are lovely, the texture is truly like velvet.

Funnily enough I had a therapy session yesterday (long story, not relevant) and it was quite tough going. My therapist said at the end that I should make sure I practice self care and do something just for me. “Maybe buy some new lipstick or something.” she suggested. “Already on it!” I replied

@Darklane I just got a new lipstick from Laura Mercier yesterday. Not had chance to wear it yet but it's described as a very bright pinky coral called Rose Decadent. There are some typical coral ones in the range too- lovely lipsticks- very smooth and light and don't give that very overdone look to your lips that some brands can. L'orange looks like a lovely coral.

Ha thanks @RedLipsAndRosyCheeks I shall have to get my glasses on and have another look. I absolutely love that Romantic, I googled the maybelline matte ink range after seeing so many on here and am seriously tempted by several shades.

I went for a pink in the end today, as it went with my outfit better, another new one I bought & then forgot all about - I'm really bad for doing that. Topshop matte lipstick in All about me. Its a nice colour but not very pigmented, I had to apply lots of layers to get it this deep.
