Lipstick Challenge - a different lipstick each day of Jan!

I remember a similar thread a few years ago that went down well

The idea is to use a different lipstick every day and share with the thread whether a review, photo, anything! It isn't about buying new ones necessarily but rediscovering ones you already own.

We do a NYD dinner here so will put a nice new one on for that tomorrow and report back!

So today is Velvet Beauty. It’s “pinker” than I’d normally go but I actually really like it!

I've got clinique colour pop in Plum Pop, but I've blotted it as it was not staying very well.

this is what i'm wearing today but no photo as its not showing up well.

it gives a sheer wash but is still pretty tinted. i also have this in peony but find its a bit too yellowy on me.

highly recommend for people who like lipstick but want a easy to use product which gives a casual look

I feel the same! I usually end up taking three or four photos and going with what I think is the least worst option!

I always like my lips look so odd.

But everyone else's look normal so it's probably just your own pictures that look odd to you and fine to everyone else

Mac pink pigeon today :)

Revlon ultra HD matte mousse in 100 degrees today (I finally deciphered the label!). A really nice bold pinky red, it looks slightly darker and more red in real life.

Another Revolution sheer gloss - this time in Vampire

Maybeline Matt Ink in Escapist. This one doesnt last as well as my other shades and is a bit patchy and hard to work with.

I'm starting to run out of options now :p

@Freekstar I have All Heart and you have reminded me to get another! Interesting news too about the Laura Mercier lipsticks. I love a coral!

I am sorry I cannot post mine but when I move I hope to have internet so I can then try and sort out how to post pictures.

Anyway, todays is actually a beige colour Doll 10 in dedicated. Nice and creamy. I do occasionally wear a beige type but prefer bright colours usually.

I've not worn any lippy for a few days but have Maybelline matte crayon on today in Stay Exceptional
nice colour but it doesn't have the same amazing staying power as the liquid ones

Revlon Super lustrous lip stick in Skyline Pink. a very retro looking frosty silver pale pink that i'd probably have loved as a teen in the late 90s! i'd probably have worn huge smokey grey panda eyeshadow with this on a night out with this lipstick.

i've had it a few years and i'm surprised thats it not discontinued but i've just checked and its still sold in Boots.com.

i'm wearing it with mac shroom over all lids and mac "cranberry" eyeshadow as a liner liner so it looks quite modern altogether, i hope!

i'm so tempted by the matte inks but must resist!

Okay lipstick challenge, I am going to have to open one of my packed boxes of make up to get to my other lipsticks!

Today's is Mac Syrup -not my normal sort of shade but I like it with a smokey grey eye.

It is quite an old lipstick and smells old. I have noticed that Mac and Estee lauder both get funky smelling when they get old.

Today is (very badly applied) Velvet Myth.
It looks quite red in the picture but is actually more of a deep purple.

I’ll be honest I wouldn’t wear this day to day, it’s a beautiful colour (and probably looks even better when applied right!) but for me it’s more of a “night out” shade.

I might try it as a lip stain to see if that is a little less dramatic!
