Lipstick Challenge - a different lipstick each day of Jan!

I remember a similar thread a few years ago that went down well

The idea is to use a different lipstick every day and share with the thread whether a review, photo, anything! It isn't about buying new ones necessarily but rediscovering ones you already own.

We do a NYD dinner here so will put a nice new one on for that tomorrow and report back!

I Googled the Antwerp shade mentioned above and saw "Mid-tone yellow-toned pink" so I'm giving it a go.

I wore a similar spring-inspired shade yesterday have attached a pic but it looks totally different on me - a much brighter, almost orange-coral. Interesting how different they look on different people.

Rimmel The Only matte in Leader of the Pink today. Feels all fresh & spring-like to go with the beautiful 🌞 today.

Forgot to say! Yesterday and today I am wearing a Pixi lip balm in Raspberry. Unlike a lot of lip balm this is well pigmented.

I have maybelline lip ink in pioneer on today again and it’s not for me. I much prefer the NYX lip cream formula - the lip ink feels very drying in comparison and I don’t like the scent.

Another Rimmel stay satin liquid lip today in Obsession. I was a bit obsessed myself when these first came out & bought loads. I love the colour but not the texture, its quite sticky & difficult to apply. I have others in the same, or very similar, colour which are much nicer to use. Probably explains why I never wear it!

@Miaowse the staying power of matte ink does have its downsides. I find they all smell different.

I love that shade Lilypad. I will resist though as I hate anything sticky or glossy.

I got the NYX matte ink in Antwerp and wore it yesterday. Loved the colour but found it soooo drying! I'm more used to tinted lip balms than proper lipsticks though so maybe that's why?

Thought I'd give Revlon fire & ice a go after seeing it mentioned on another thread (might have been the retro beauty products one) and I absolutely LOVE it! Think it helps that I cracked open the skinny tan yesterday. I don't wear much, just wanted to take the edge off the winter complexion a bit. Looked v similar to this pic on me (minus the flawless skin!) - not sure if it would have worked as well with my normal winter skin - will have to give it a try when the tan has worn off.

I've found I need to keep my lips exfoliated and well moisturised when I wear matt lipsticks. I use a flannel to exfoliate and put loads of rich lip balm on at night and that seems to do the trick.

Today's is Clinique Butter shine Poppy Love> The most un-loud red lipstick ever! I am not sure it even looks red. However, it means you can wear it with almost anything! Do they even make butter shine anymore. Love the tubes!

Apparently they don't. I guess colour pop took over?

I love the red Revlon shades. Another one I love, an old favourite is Cherries in the snow. Sometimes hard to get but I also got the nail polish. More of a 'blue' but I like it!
