Lipstick Challenge - a different lipstick each day of Jan!

I remember a similar thread a few years ago that went down well

The idea is to use a different lipstick every day and share with the thread whether a review, photo, anything! It isn't about buying new ones necessarily but rediscovering ones you already own.

We do a NYD dinner here so will put a nice new one on for that tomorrow and report back!

That Antwerp shade looks lovely. Might give it a try!

Got a Charlotte Tilbury haul the other day - 2 eye shadow palettes - Stoned Rose and Rock chick. I am wearing the stoned rose look today actually including the lipstick and bought a few more lipsticks too which I guess I will tell you about tomorrow.

Now to me the red worn by @Lilypad looks warm. I cannot detect a blue tone. It could be neutral though if any reds can be??!!

I think they can be neutral (true red?). I don’t think I have a very good eye for this though.

Ooooh @34Deathraystare I actually have Stoned Rose already and it's a shade that suits me.

Yes I've seen reds described as "true red" too but have absolutely no idea how to tell.

I think True red is anything not to yellow/blue/brown - in fact, just right!!!

I've seen some shades described as a 'true red' which I take to mean neutral. I agree it's really hard to tell from photos, mine always looks different to how it looks in the mirror. Today's is a good example, Rimmel stay satin liquid lipstick in 800 Rad. In real life its really dark, almost burgundy but looks much lighter in my photo

I have stoned rose too @Deathraystare but just a sample, I suspect it won't suit me from the description. I would love to be able to wear corals but they all seem very warm. I'm going to keep searching though

Wearing Velvet Underground today - another from Charlotte Tilbury! I was going to describe it as a red but they show it as a fuchsia pink! I would go for reddy pink or pinky red myself. It is not like the pic on me!

That is lovely @Deathraystare. I find it so interesting how different the same lipstick can look on different people.

I'm wearing L'Oréal color riche intense 370 crazy fuchsia. Its lovely on but I question the inclusion of intense in the name - i have about 8 layers on & its still very sheer, which i like but it definitely can't be described as 'intense'!

I think I have that lipstick somewhere. It is not too blue on me so I do sometimes wear it.

No lipstick, or any makeup for me today.

That CT one is lovely.

The pictures I take never look quite the right colour no matter what lighting I use (and by that all I mean is in different rooms in the house)

@Lilypad78 I have indeed got the fuchsia lipstick from L'oreal crazy Fuchsia - but it is not crazy at all. Nothing compared to some of your neon beauties!!! Also not too blue for me!

Its definitely false advertising @Deathraystare but I do really like it, I don't have many sheer lipsticks. I like the CT, I wonder if I could get away with a pink coral? How do you find the CT ones, do you rate the quality of them, I've heard lots of mixed reviews of her stuff & I tried the mascara which gave me panda eyes

I bought nyx matte cream in cannes after seeing it on here, I really like it its quite similar to the bourjois one. I also tried mixing it with rimmel stay matte lip lacquer in strapless, which I never wear as its too light beige & chalky looking on me normally. It just lightened it a bit & i really liked them together.

I felt like I needed some glamour today so I've curled my lashes and I'm wearing Fenty Beauty Stunna lip paint in Uncensored.

@RedLipsAndRosyCheeks I haven't even showered yet and you're sitting there all smug with your curled lashes and gorgeous lips! Going to leave the coconut oil on my hair for a bit longer then follow your lead with a bit of glam!

The DC woke me up at 6 so my day started far too early. Am now in the park feeling slightly over done!

It feels like most of the matt inks are cool toned, I can't think of any very warm ones I've tried.
