Lipstick Challenge - a different lipstick each day of Jan!

I remember a similar thread a few years ago that went down well

The idea is to use a different lipstick every day and share with the thread whether a review, photo, anything! It isn't about buying new ones necessarily but rediscovering ones you already own.

We do a NYD dinner here so will put a nice new one on for that tomorrow and report back!

It's Keep Mauving by Rimmel. It's one of my favourites. It seems to last well on me.

Love that one @RedLipsAndRosyCheeks I also miss Bourjois, I used to love their mascara and the shimmery eyeshadow in little pots.

Trying out another new one today, Charlotte Tilbury matte in Bond Girl. Its in a sample card of 8 shades i got free with an order, it also includes Pillow Talk which definitely doesn't suit everyone, makes me look ill. I quite like the colour of this, I always assume browns are warm & don't suit me but this doesn't look too bad, I do have a bit of bronzer on though which probably helps. Not blown away by the quality though to be honest. I don't think I'd buy one unless it was heavily discounted!

MAC amplified in Craving. I bought this online & I'm not sure it suits me. I think its cool toned but its just too muted. Its a shame as I love the texture. I would love to get another from this range once the shops have re-opened so I can pick a better shade.

I fell off the thread as I ran out of lipsticks but I’ve picked up two new ones: NYX matt lip cream in Antwerp shade (I love this but think the shade may be too warm for me) and a kiko fusion in raspberry/415. I’ll see if I can manage two days of lipstick wearing and post pics.

It looks lovely on you @ClosedAuraOpenMind & quite different, a much warmer more neutral colour. It is such a lovely creamy consistency.

Trying new one out today, Nic Chapman for Mac. Its supposed to be a neutral nude & I thought I'd like to try something different. I quite like it, I think it will be nice in the summer when I usually have a bit of a tan.

Lipstick Queen in Venetian Masquerade today, which was a present. it's one of these colour changing ones, so look quite purple in the bullet but quite pink on.
it's not one I would have picked, but I think I like it

I shall not be around for a while as the '2 Covid Girls' are back at work.

Forgot to say that with the lipsticks I had a sample of Juliette got a gun
it was a musc one but smelt like The Body Shop White Musk (which I like, so why pay more???!!!)

Ooh, @Deathraystare you reminded me that I got a Juliette Got a Gun sample recently - it was called something like lipstick fever and it was meant to smell like lipsticks. It was not to my taste, but might appeal to some of the lipstick lovers on this thread - strong violets notes.

Today I’m wearing my new NYX matte lip cream in Antwerp and I love it. I still think it might be a bit warm toned for my colouring but it’s a lovely bright strong colour and the staying power is phenomenal. I tried it on before bed the night I got it and my lips still had a tint the next day (and the colour was lovely). I’m definitely going to pick up another few shades of this.

@Miaowse Ooh that perfume sounds ok, unless it is very sweet. I hate sugary sweet things!

I would say that the lipstick looks quite neutral. It looks good on you.

*@Lilypad78** I have both the Sam and Nic Chapman lipsticks. Not sure how often I would wear Nic's as I prefer Sam's.

Thank you - now I know I like the formula I’ll probably try Amsterdam, San Paulo and Monte Carlo at some point. I think I have Amsterdam coming in next month’s Amazon subscribe & save.

Wow @Deathraystare love the Laura Mercier Rose Mandarin, that colour is amazing ❤. I really liked the Sam Chapman colour as well but i have about 5 or 6 bright reds already (all in pretty much the same shade )

@Miaowse that's such a pretty colour, there's been quite a few nice NYX ones on the thread, will have to look them out when the shops finally open.

Back to the brights today, Rimmel The One in Pink a Punch. I like this but i don't love it, its a bit too bubblegum pink for me.

I can't see any lips with fillers and even if I did would it matter? Also, I don't understand the "murderers" bit?
