Late to the party again!

Chuffing freezing here again, -8 last night but a very crisp clear day today so warmth wins out again!

My shopping arrived at 8pm last night! Yay. Now we have food that goes together.

Took a ridiculously long time to put this 'outfit' together having decided I wanted to wear these cargo trousers. Dark khaki green is quite hard. Need more ideas.

Realised that this is a bargain outfit as everything was outlet apart from cardy which was 'only' £24 full price. Stay warm everyone, we are beginning to thaw here

Great trews @Sooverthemill - depending how you feel about colors you could add either mustard yellow or red, but dilute it with a neutral cream or black?

I am in my favorite dungarees and sweatshirt both Tommy Hilfiger.

Good news regarding the groceries, @Sooverthemill. I would probably just wear black with that colour (as it's my go-to), but I can see mustard working too, as suggested by MrsBobDylan

My daughter is going to her father's house for the weekend, which is a bit of a relief after a week of her staying up past 9:30 plus a very busy patch at work. I'm fully expecting him to ask me to pick her up early, though

Hooray for your food arriving @Sooverthemill. I actually think dark khaki is a reasonably neutral colour. I like it with both orange and turquoise (not at the same time).

I’m wearing my new dress today - it is so soft and comfortable.

I tried ordering some knitwear from Warehouse. But it all seems to be very short in the body - even though it isn’t cropped according to the description. So it’s all going back. Which is probably as well - I don’t need more jumpers!

Cannot remember the name of the top but it is animal print but a bit different it is very light beige background with pink as well as the normal animal black dots. My trousers were bought from QVC (I guess the top was as well). These are by Mr Max and have an elasticated waist, sort of leggings in style. Very impressed but shocked to discover they contain viscose which if you have read any of my posts you will know I hate viscose with an absolute passion. Normally I come out in a huge sweat if I wear it but not with these trousers. I do remember on Ruth what's her name (married to Eamonn what's his face) said there are different types , some are better than others, so that may be why???

Good ideas! No mustard in my wardrobe ( I think) but I have ginger? And definitely a couple of red things. Was going to just wear a white shirt but it looked too dressed up

@Sooverthemill I'll 2nd @OublietteBravo and say teal looks nice with khaki your outfit looks nice though & you have food so win win! I'm also blaming Oubliette's very nice dress for me browsing the whistles website... although I have found a shorter blazer that will work with a lot of my work outfits.

@Sooverthemill yay you have food! I agree with others that Khaki is a neutral so maybe with dark khaki colours like burnt orange, mustard, etc. What I call sludgy colours or other neutrals such as black or even leopard print. Though you may look like you are on safari. I do also like the idea of teal with a dark khaki too.

@MrsBobDylan - love those dungarees - really must find some denim ones.

@dellacucina those jeans make you look so slim. Love the outfit.

@OublietteBravo still love the Whistles dress. Re Warehouse. I find all there knitwear is short in the body not sure why! I had a lovely jumper from there but my back always ended up cold!

@Sickoffamilydrama love your outfit. I need to try different jeans and step out of my skinnies safety zone. The blouse would last 5 mins here with muddy dog and wet cat. But I want it. Lol.

Hello everyone!! I used to take part in the old thread ( name changed ) but haven't been back in a while! I now have a little bumpy to add to the mix so now I'm feeling better and actually get dressed every day I may join again if okay!!

I literally east all purple fleece lined leggings that I can run, ride and do yoga in and a variety of tops depending on whether I'm going to be seen by someone with more than 2 legs. Mostly fleece.

@Shannith look forward to seeing you post your non- fleece outfits more. I'm the same I pretty much live in dog walking gear or slobby leggings. But am going to make more of an effort. Those trainers look lovely. Hope you like the rest of your parcel.

@OublietteBravo, shameless intruder here - I sneak a peak at you all each day, and you give me so much inspiration, but too shy to post. But when you say your Whistles jumpers were too short in the body - I'm desperate for jumpers that don't end at my knees - stumpy person here. Would you have time/mind sharing links of what you ordered?
I'm a very ordinary, short, soon to be 50-something woman, rather than a spy, just to reassure

I've been after these jogger type trousers for ages from M&S and they went in the sale!
Thinking of wearing them with trainers, black top and a grey suede biker jacket
I couldn't get a good pic but they have a cuff and will sit on my ankle with trainers on

Same trousers as yesterday as they are very warm and it is so cold here! We have put the thermostat up to 35 in an effort to get the house really warm but DD has duvet, 2 blankets and 2 hot packs. I don't really understand but suspect our thermostat isn't working correctly? Who knows? This is where I wish I'd married a practical chap rather than a policy wonk

Do you know what? I don’t think I possessed a single item of Whistles clothing before I bought the grey boiler suit in November. And I’m pretty sure I only looked at Whistles because I saw someone on here wearing it and looking stylish. So if you’ve found yourselves browsing Whistles, it isn’t really my fault - more some kind of collective responsibility

It’s freezing here too @Sooverthemill. We really appreciate our wood burner when the weather is like this.
