It’s a good idea to use things straight away tango - I tend to put things on one side rather than doing that, so am now finally sporting nail polish from last year’s AC for the first time.

I was really keen to try this as the Aromatherapy Associates scents used in the calendars tend to be quite samey (Deep Relax usually) and I’ve never had this before. Smells lovely. I never have time for baths and just rub the oil onto my skin before getting in the shower - amazing!

I tried the toner last night and like it - not as astringent as I expected. The blurb on the back would send Caroline Hirons into meltdown - wipe the toner over your face until the muck is gone Grin.

This is my first Liberty calendar- haven’t used the conditioner yet, but I’m liking the Venn , the toner and today’s bath/shower oil which I used this morning in the shower.
OH has absolutely no interest in upmarket toiletries and has never worn an aftershave or cologne but even he remarked on how nice it smelled.
I tend to use just a bog standard shower gel day to day and wasn’t sure how I’d get on with an oil that you rub in before you get in the shower. I was very pleasantly surprised but think it would be better used in the bath. I loved the smell and was disappointed to see that they don’t so a matching candle

Tangomango1 · 04/12/2020 23:00

I am reporting back too. I love today's! Had a quick shower in the end & my skin feels lovely & smooth. Even my normally useless DH said I smell nice 😀 so it gets the thumbs up from me.

Nars chunky Lip Pencil today.
I love Nars, love lip pencils, however this isn't my colour. I never wear red lippy.
I am sure my DD will love it

Happy with today's lip pencil. I find that reds or any brighter colours are easier to wear in this format and that it is matt but non drying.

MiaN · 05/12/2020 07:07

Chickydoo, you could be surprised if you try it. I wouldn't wear so read colour in regular lipstick format but this I would

Chickydoo · 05/12/2020 07:11

@MiaN ,maybe I will give it a whirl & see what it's like

Polpette · 05/12/2020 07:19

When you try it you'll find that it's much more of a cerise pink red rather than a true red.

MiaN · 05/12/2020 07:27

I think pencil lipsticks aren't as pigmented/harsh, wear better as the colour fades more evenly and feel soft/non drying on my aging and very thin lips. It's really worth a try.

gower4 · 05/12/2020 08:35

I'll try the lip pencil today. Quite happy - I love trying new make up.

thecognoscenti · 05/12/2020 08:35

I never wear lipstick - tinted lip balm is as much as I can bear - so would happily swap this with someone or give it away. I'm not disappointed though because I checked the contents before I bought the calendar and knew it was coming.

mynameiscalypso · 05/12/2020 08:42

Ooh I've bought this for my SIL (it's included in one of the Liberty beauty crackers) so I'm keen to try it myself too!

Pomegranatespompom · 05/12/2020 09:09

I don’t tend to wear lipstick so although the colour looks nice, I’ll reserve this as a potential swap.

Arsenicinthesugarbowl · 05/12/2020 09:11

I have two DD who scoop up any products I’m less keen on so it’s a win win situation. The toner went straight to them. Love NARS -not a colour I’d usually choose but look forward to trying it.

Orcadianrythyms · 05/12/2020 09:15

I got this in the JL Winter Glow freebie and am also not a big red lipstick wearer but this is really nice. It's not bright and just sort of rosied up my lips - saying that they were quite rosy to start with, it's freezing up North Grin

Pomegranatespompom · 05/12/2020 09:22

@Orcadianrythyms interesting. Do you think would suit most skin tones!

Orcadianrythyms · 05/12/2020 09:33

I think it would Pomegranatespomp, I'm a good Scottish blue/ white and red lipstick sometimes makes me look like a clown but this was softer. If imagine on darker times it would be fab, perhaps applied a bit stronger?

Stokey · 05/12/2020 09:47

Happy with the lipstick, it's definitely my colour, although still haven't quite sorted out the lipstick/mask dilemma.

Going to try aromatherapy oil now in my rather late shower, looking forward to it.

HerculesMuligan · 05/12/2020 11:13

Hello all, I’m not a big lipstick wearer and tend to wear tinted lip gloss but am optimistic about the lip pencil. Agree with others that the Venn cream has been the highlight so far, and that the toner was distinctly underwhelming!

As an aside is it just me who finds the first-person descriptions of the products slightly annoying? “Put me on your face...use me in a shower or bath...” No, you’re an inanimate object!!

chloechloe · 05/12/2020 11:25

I’m happy to try today’s. I don’t usually go for a bold lip but this looks quite wearable as it seems to have a pinky undertone.

Re the lipstick / mask dilemma - I reckon the way forward is to swipe on some lippy for WFH video calls.

Pomegranatespompom · 05/12/2020 11:56

Thank you @Orcadianrythyms tempted to try
@chloechloe I need help in zoom, I don’t recognise myself ..

chloechloe · 05/12/2020 13:32

I think most people have that problem pomegranate. I find you generally need to wear stronger makeup that you would normally to stop looking washed out.

supadupapupascupa · 05/12/2020 15:33

I dislike the lip colour it's too cool. Nothing like the colour it seems to be.

Cocopogo · 05/12/2020 23:48

I’m happy with the lip pencil. It’s a bit bolder than I usually wear so will be more evening wear for me.

MiaN · 06/12/2020 05:37

What I am doing with the aveda leave in? It feels like my hair doesn't absorb it and leaves my hair less shiny and soft. My hair is usually soft. I get on well with IDK or Kerastase leave in and I use this exactly the same - apply small bit on damp hair
