Morning @chloechloe. I checked my calendar at 5am today. I was too tired to remember the date and was really disappointed that the 11th was empty. It was a nice surprise to realise it was the 12th!

This is one I'm really keen to try. Feels sooo thick on my skin - in a nourishing way rather than cloying.

How many pumps did you all use to do your face and neck?

I think I was up to 7 by the time I had full coverage as it's so rich.

Don't want to run out too soon so I might use Venn AM and AB in the PM as @MiaN suggested (that almost rhymes).

Arsenicinthesugarbowl · 12/12/2020 09:03

Oh god! Just read back on the thread and see that lip serum is not to be slathered on like Vaseline. Although I once burnt my face with internet bought dodgy retinol so I think it’s minor in comparison. I really liked the 8 hour style cream too.

MiaN · 12/12/2020 09:09

I tried the lip pencil today. I am demoting it from favorites, it makes my teeth look yellow! I was postponing my dental hygienist due to current covid situation - no more! Booked for Monday

I don't think it's good color for me but I glad I tried it

lol on the rhyme!

MabelMoo23 · 12/12/2020 09:15

I’m pleased with the AB today, defo want to try that. I tried the Dear Polly yesterday and really like it!!!!!!

So far, I like the Venn, the Dear Polly, the lip pencil but only with lip balm over it and also the shower oil.

The lip concentrate I’m a bit meh and not tried the prism yet

Stokey · 12/12/2020 10:32

I thought this was blue mail varnish when I first took it out so really pleased to realise it wasn't! So would you put this on as the final thing after acids etc? Guess you wouldn't use it along with the Venn so I also think I'll try it at night. After a facial oil or instead of do you think?

Tangomango1 · 12/12/2020 10:47

Morning everybody! I am thrilled with today's cream. Brilliant size and I tried a little straight away and it feels silky and luxurious. Like most people I am not too keen on the lip serum but today's makes up for it. Looking forward to using it over the next few days.

MiaN · 12/12/2020 11:01

@stokey it's only 15ml and so expensive product with great reviews. I want my skin to get as much out of it as possible and due to this I am going to wash, dry my face and use this few nights weekly without too many layers.

If using oils use them after this and if using acids before.

Pomegranatespompom · 12/12/2020 11:06

Please can someone explain retinol and when you use it ? Thank you.

I just reviewed everything so far and tbf its a reasonable selection. My top 3 are the moisturisers and the perfume.

mynameiscalypso · 12/12/2020 11:15

Today's is definitely going to be an evening moisturiser for me. It didn't feel at all as I expected when I put it on and even after an hour or so, it still feel like there was residue on my face and my make up wouldn't go on nicely. I have, however, found a use for the toner though! Will try it tonight and see if I like it more, a bit underwhelmed so far but I really like my current day cream from face theory so it had a lot to live up to!

MiaN · 12/12/2020 11:16

The retinol question - there is a lot to explain. I would go to youtube and find someone like Dr Dray or Nadine Baggot or Hot and Flashy

KatharinaRosalie · 12/12/2020 11:18

Ooh I like the cream - used it this morning and even though it feels rich, it sinks in straight away and doesn't leave skin greasy.

chloechloe · 12/12/2020 13:55

I fear I’m going to have to buy this cream when this one runs out! I put it on this morning - I only needed one pump for my face and neck - and then left it for half an hour of so before doing my makeup. My makeup went on really nicely and my skin is looking nice and plump and glowing despite having been out to the park in freezing temperatures. Really happy with it.

AsPerMyLastEmail · 12/12/2020 14:12

I got the AB night rich cream in my Cult Beauty AC last year and although I thought it was overpriced, really liked it. So I was happy that it was in this year’s Liberty’s. I have several creams on the go right now so am saving this for later.

Like others I wasn’t excited about the lip serum. I haven’t tried it yet so appreciate the tips. I will crack it open later and start using it to use it up.

Onekidnoclue · 12/12/2020 14:56

@MiaN

sorry I misread your post but I think you need to drop into boots and getting a urea treatment cream, they wouldn't put something like this in advents I think.
Thank you! Thought there might be a foot mask or similar but you’re right I’m better with something almost medical rather than pampering.
Chickydoo · 12/12/2020 15:03

@chloechloe I absolutely agree with you regarding the cream, it's fabulous. My skin looks great even after just one application. I used 2 pumps.
My faves so far:
Today's cream
Dear Polly
Venn cream
AA bath oil
Malin & Gotez
Face mask.

Aveda was good, although I have others that are similar & do the same job.
I am quite happy with the Calendar, would love another perfume though!

My boss has one and keeps telling me what she got every day - I may have to kill her Xmas Grin

Will deffo try to get one next year.

AsPerMyLastEmail · 12/12/2020 15:59

Every time someone says face mask, I automatically think of a Covid cloth one that goes over your mouth and nose... I got one of those in the free beauty bag I got with my Fenwick’s calendar.

imp2007 · 12/12/2020 19:42

Just used today's love it - felt lovely and rich but not too heavy definitely one for the evening routine - really pleased. Enjoying the opportunity of trying products from different brands that I might not have been aware of x

Stokey · 12/12/2020 20:51

Thanks @MiaN. I'm going to give it a go tonight after my serum. I think I'll alternate the rich cream & facial oil rather than use them together. Looking forward to trying it.

Chickydoo · 13/12/2020 06:36

Posting early this morning as have to go to work.
Two little bottles in door 13. Noble Iris bath and shower gel and body lotion. Fragrance is called fireside, both smell lovely.

they are lovely, I am going to use them later today!

Nanasueathome · 13/12/2020 07:33

I didn’t have a Liberty calendar this year but would like to try the QMS lip lines serum
I kept the empty box from previous year and filled it with GWP products that I’d bought throughout the year (plus a few miniature bottles of gin)

chloechloe · 13/12/2020 07:44

The fragrance of today’s is lovely. I still have a similar duo from last year’s F&M to use though! I’m generally too rushed / lazy to use body lotion - with 3 little ones having a shower needs precision planning!

mynameiscalypso · 13/12/2020 08:32

I might save these for if we ever get to go away on holiday again!

Polpette · 13/12/2020 08:33

I'm really unimpressed. These are quite literally hotel toiletries.

Sorry. I sound really picky/ungrateful but when you spend so much on an advent calendar, and one with Liberty's reputation, you expect so much more.
