Thanks for that @MiaN really useful. I always really appreciate your focus on the ingredients.

So essentially the same concept as an eye cream, you don't use it on your eye balls just around the eyes. Smile

I would definitely have rushed in and used it on my lips before reading the instructions properly.

I'm starting to worry about my memory though, I researched this calendar so carefully but so far 80% has been a total surprise.

Like others the perfume has gone from blurgh to the top of my favourites list.

"So essentially the same concept as an eye cream, you don't use it on your eye balls just around the eyes."

That's so funny!

MiaN · 10/12/2020 07:06

I would appreciate feedback on this product in few weeks. I more likely to give it another chance and think that I didn't use properly if everyone else loves it

imp2007 · 10/12/2020 07:54

Thanks for the video that was really useful - I initially thought this was a product to stop your lipstick bleeding!!! Quite pleased with it if it works as just starting to get some fine lines around my lips so could be a really good one for me! Very £££ product!!!

Pomegranatespompom · 10/12/2020 08:04

@Polpette I feel the same about my memory too 😢 I thought I’d checked reasonably carefully but really can’t remember now.

Pomegranatespompom · 10/12/2020 08:06

£155?! If this is one of the big ticket items, it’s quite disappointing. Not very exciting.

Frumpypigskin · 10/12/2020 08:24

I should have read this first. I've happily applied it to my lips..
It seems ok so far Grin

Polpette · 10/12/2020 08:42

@Pomegranatespompom glad it's not just me. The good news is that all the really good stuff that tempted us to buy the calendar are still to come...and they'll be a surprise.

I can't believe the cost of the lip cream?! How do they justify that price? I guess I'll have to try it to find out.

Pomegranatespompom · 10/12/2020 08:51

@Polpette good to know great stuff to come - if only I could remember 🤣
I have no idea how any skin product can be priced over £100 and I like beauty products a lot.

Newgirls · 10/12/2020 08:55

Liberty fans - I popped in yesterday and the sale is on. It’s very low key as I guess they don’t want a covid stampede but amazing bargains to be had in shoes and clothes.

MiaN · 10/12/2020 09:04

Actually so far I am happy with the advent regardless of the two that didn't work for me.
Venn, the perfume, yesterday's herbivore prism mask, the nars lip pencil are all hits
The forest therapy I still use a drop on my fluffy dressing gown and love smelling it in the morning and evening. I have different bath oil right now and this way it will last me longer
The body wash smells divine, and the pre cleanse is super handy for travel
I am giving the aveda leave in another chance using the brush tip

So 80% success so far.

chloechloe · 10/12/2020 11:41

I’m a bit meh about this as I’m early 40s and don’t have any lip lines (yet). I find it a bit odd that they’ve put this product in as surely it’s a product aimed at an older niche market and many people buying the calendar won’t have much need for it? Having said that I’ve applied it round my mouth - but now seeing how pricey it is I’m wishing I had not bothered and sold it instead🤣

Pomegranatespompom · 10/12/2020 12:02

I’m hoping to swap it.

Onekidnoclue · 10/12/2020 12:03

I’ve just had a pamper binge and used ALL the products (cheated a little by using the pre cleanse to clean my make up brushes while the mask was on). I don’t think today’s product does anything but will use it up and see. To be fair I feel pampered as fuck but that might just be taking an hour off work to fanny about in the bathroom!

Onekidnoclue · 10/12/2020 12:04

Oh bum. Just realised it wasn’t all as I’ve given the toner away! Oh well.

Whatiswrongwithmykid · 10/12/2020 13:01

If I’m taking anything from this calendar it’s that I need an eye test. Anyone else struggling to read the writing on yesterday’s mask? 😩😂

MiaN · 10/12/2020 13:19

it's impossible to read! I used magnifying glass from my son's detective kit :)

Whatiswrongwithmykid · 10/12/2020 13:31

I'm glad it's not just me!

ajandjjmum · 10/12/2020 14:45

Grin You're not alone! The writing's too small, my arm's not long enough and the light's too dim.
chloechloe · 10/12/2020 15:04

I’m glad I’m not the only one who struggled with the print on the mask, I was seriously worried I was headed for old age and had visions of myself moving paper backwards and forwards before my eyes to bring the text into focus as my parents in laws do!

I persevered however (just to prove to myself that I’m not over the hill) and was able to establish that there are no instructions on the back, just ingredients!

AllTheDogsIveLovedBefore · 10/12/2020 17:57

I could read it perfectly without my glasses as I am majorly short sighted.😂 I am really loving this calendar now. Has improved so much.

MiaN · 10/12/2020 19:05

I decided to check with QMS beauty if they can help me figure out when is the product made. that's the response I got from them
" "Hello. How long have you had the product for. Our products very rarely expire but please can you send me a pic of it - the branding will indicate to me how old it is and we can take it from there. Regards."

What cosmetic product do not expire and isn't this insane way to track when product was made and guess if it's still good for use?

I had similar situation with bottle of sultan spf recently, I wasn't sure if it's still good to use. I send them the batch details on the bottle and they told me both production and best before dates.

friendlyflicka · 10/12/2020 20:42

Just read through this and a poster earlier was saying the QMS product was a bit niche - anti ageing - and would only target a small portion of shoppers.

How old are the rest of you? Vaguely! I always imagine Liberty calendar being for the older woman. Just because they always have an expensive older woman serum and hand cream. I am 53 and it suits me great, but I can imagine if I was younger I might go for Cult Beauty or even Space NK.

But it is hugely personal taste. I can be put off by just one item. For instance this year on Liberty, didn't want the main perfume, but my sister bought this for me and I am not at all complaining and sold it on ebay.

So maybe there is not a demographic. I just find I like the stuff in Liberty and Fortnum and Masons and not so much in the others, although I definitely would have love Cult beauty as a younger person.

mynameiscalypso · 10/12/2020 20:49

I'm 37. I'm not sure why I gravitate to the Liberty one over the others - I think because I tend to favour 'established' brands. The only other calendar I've had in the past is the M&S which was fine if quite conventional.

friendlyflicka · 10/12/2020 21:03

@mynameiscalypso Liberty I think was the first one. I can remember seeing it advertised on something and wanting to buy it and hide it under the bed and open it secretly (I was in the midst of a horrible break up) but couldn't imagine that people would openly buy it for themselves! And look what happened?

I think that was about 6 years ago
