@Stokey Yes, it has that effect on my skin too. Not going to bother with it anymore.

Tangomango1 · 09/12/2020 14:30

The lid wasn't on properly on mine either @allmycats so it had leaked a bit 🙁 But there is enough left for me to have a few uses out of it. I haven't really used acids before but am willing to try & see how I get on. Really enjoying the calendar so far!

LizzieMacQueen · 09/12/2020 14:50

@supadupapupascupa

Yes £185 for 100ml of the perfume. At that price it should be nice Smile it's a hit from me

@supadupapupascupa Wait until January. Liberty will drop the price. Last year I bought the full bottle that was in the AC at a discount either 15 or 20%. Still a pricey item of course.

Chickydoo · 09/12/2020 15:27

I think the perfume is out of stock in Liberty, I can only see the body spray

I’m ridiculously excited about today’s item, but may just be swayed by the beautiful iridescent text on the jar.

For those of you hesitant to use acids, I suggest you leave it on for 5 minutes the first time and see how you get on (or patch test first). And use SPF for a week afterwards unless COVID has you locked indoors!

That such a shame for those of you with a leaky jar - let Liberty know and maybe you’ll get a new one?

chloechloe · 09/12/2020 16:22

I’ve just remembered what happened this morning. My 2 year old is currently quarantined at home. I tried to sneak into my home office to open my calendar but he found me and proceeded to start yanking out the drawers and contents. To avoid spoiling any surprises I then had to wrestle him away and stuff everything back in with my eyes closed. So much for having a few peaceful seconds for myself to open it!

MiaN · 09/12/2020 17:31

I was just going to say for the mask avoid the area around the eyes and mouth. I have the mask on now, little bit tingly but that's to be expected.

AsPerMyLastEmail · 09/12/2020 17:51

Grin This was me when I opened it up. I'm more excited by the jar design than the contents, although will try out the mask tonight.

I haven't tried the D pre-cleanse yet. Interesting to hear that it has a drying effect for some of you, as I have very dry and sensitive skin. I'll give it a go tomorrow and report back.

supadupapupascupa · 09/12/2020 18:21

I couldn't contain myself any longer. I've added it all up whilst trying to pay no attention to what things are (easier than you think when you've not heard of most of it haha). I get £700 and a few pence. Rest assured the value is in there xx

Pomegranatespompom · 09/12/2020 18:26

Good to know @supadupapupascupa
🤣 @chloechloe I left with work at 0600 so looked but left it in the drawer so my DD would think she was opening it !

chloechloe · 09/12/2020 18:31

Thanks for doing the maths supadupa, that’s good to hear!

Re Dermalogica - I find their products are on the whole quite drying, but then I do have quite dehydrated skin if I don’t take care of it. I was pleased there wasn’t and daily microfoliant in there this year and that makes my skin quite tight. I might try the pre-cleanse tonight as I’ve got a full face of makeup on today notwithstanding lockdown and kid quarantine!

chloechloe · 09/12/2020 18:34

Me again Hmm. I tried the Nars pencil today and loved it (although I still looked wrecked on Teams!)

It’s nice and moisturising and is quite a raspberry red on me. It also wore off really nicely and evenly, just leaving a nice subtle stain. I’d suggesting trying it even if you normally avoid strong lip colours.

Cocopogo · 09/12/2020 18:48

There doesn’t seem to be any instructions with today’s. Can someone please tell me what I do with it exactly

MiaN · 09/12/2020 18:56

It's a mask
www.cultbeauty.com/ie/en/herbivore-prism-20-aha-5-bha-exfoliating-glow-facial.html

"Use 1-2 times per week as a treatment mask. Apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry skin. Leave on for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. For sensitive skin, leave on for 5 minutes. Follow with a nourishing Herbivore Facial Oil."

I would use it at night, avoid areas around eyes and mouth, use spf the following morning.

imp2007 · 09/12/2020 19:12

Just in from work had a lovely shower with the body wash - agree it is very spa like!!! Have just popped the mask on it's so pretty!! A little seemed to go a long way I think it will give quite a lot of uses. This calendar is making me very happy!!

YouWereRight · 09/12/2020 21:02

I’m really excited to try today’s, as I do enjoy an acid mask.

I love the perfume and lip pencil. I wore them to work and received a few compliments, which is nice.

AsPerMyLastEmail · 09/12/2020 22:49

That’s lovely @YouWereRight !

I tried the Prism mask tonight and despite having it on for 10 mins or so on my sensitive skin it doesn’t seem to have burnt my face off, so I’m taking that as a win Grin Not sure if I have a glow exactly, but I certainly don’t look worse.

mynameiscalypso · 09/12/2020 22:53

@AsPerMyLastEmail You've summed up my experience with the mask tonight too! It's fine and I still have a face. Not sure that's quite enough for me to repurchase though 😂

MiaN · 10/12/2020 06:23

how to use today's product, click before using but after you open the door Comments after 7 am

KatharinaRosalie · 10/12/2020 06:35

Wow pricey! www.qmsmedicosmetics.com/shop/lip-and-eye-care/lip-line-corrector

I don't have lip line wrinkles but I don't see why one couldn't use this serum all over

MiaN · 10/12/2020 06:43

Apparently it's not to be applied to the lips but the area around the lips as in the video

I am going to say I cheated and I opened this the day the advent arrived home as I am after good lip product. I used it on my lips not doing my research. It really irritated and dried out my lips after few weeks use and month later I am still using healing products trying to repair the damage . I wonder if I received bad batch or out of date product. Had a look through the ingredient list - cheap widely available good things as glycerin and squalene and water are the frist 3. The 4th ingredient is drying alcohol way too high on the list for product for such sensitive area. They are not very upfront of the aroma, depending on what it is could be irritating too.

You may get a better luck but it is the biggest let down of the year for me - not only this advent. I could give it a change around the lips instead on the lips but not so sure about it.

I hope it works better for you, and maybe using it on the lips instead around contribute to my negative experience with this product.

MiaN · 10/12/2020 06:46

I have never suffered from dry lips before, so it's not something I am prone to

Chickydoo · 10/12/2020 06:57

Lip serum for lines around the lips.
This looks interesting, I have just put some on & it feels a bit drying.
Who knows if it will work...we shall see.

I don't have lip lines either (yet) and I fear this product might do more harm than good. Not sure I'll try it although that feels a waste given the price point!
