Look Fantastic Advent Calendar Opening Thread 2020

Hello Look Fantastic calendar openers! Post as you open each day and we'll discuss our thoughts. No spoilers please.
As said on other calendar opening threads, think it is fair to say you can post about the current day from 7am so people know to avoid the thread after that time if they haven’t opened yet.

Might have to swap this one. I don't have any wrinkles yet so it's a bit wasted on me for now!

Me neither but my DM was happy to take mine off my hands!
OchonAgusOchonO · 22/12/2020 08:33

Don't worry Lars and Rose, the wrinkles will come Grin.

Today's cleanser will get used. I love the brand but I prefer cleansers that you wipe off, rather than rinsing off. I'm a bit messy so always end up wetting bits I don't want to wet.

SomethingAboutNothing · 22/12/2020 08:40

Tried the body cleanser in the shower yesterday and it didn't do much so am trying it dry this morning.

Todays product is a good one for me, and a good brand.

AliceinBunniland · 22/12/2020 11:28

I'm happy enough with today's. It's something I'll use and the small sizes of face wash etc can be useful for travel, not that I have any travel plans atm!

ImpossibleGirl86 · 22/12/2020 12:14

Do people think the silver skin saviour thing could be used as a spot treatment rather than an all over mask? Might try that next time instead - will make it last a lot longer

AliceinBunniland · 22/12/2020 12:16

I think so Impossible if it's not too runny

SomethingAboutNothing · 22/12/2020 14:03

Yes I was planning to try that too Impossible

With the way my kids are behaving, I'm sure it'll be soon! I got my first grey hair when pregnant with my first and they've come thick and fast since.
SickRose · 22/12/2020 22:32

Impossible that's how I used it. I had a small spot forming on my forehead the day I got it so I put a bit over it for 15 minutes or so. Next morning, no sign of the spot! Waiting for the next one now to see if it was a fluke. Haven't wanted to risk doing a full mask so close to Christmas but I think I will in the new year

ImpossibleGirl86 · 23/12/2020 07:35

Oooh thanks SickRose that does sound promising!

OchonAgusOchonO · 23/12/2020 09:07

A face mask you don't have to remove today. Sounds like an interesting concept. I assume put it on a few hours before doing night time moisturiser etc?

Oliack1417 · 23/12/2020 09:25

Hmm, the write up for this calendar suggested this mask would be a full size jar/pot worth £79. I feel a bit cheated!

Look Fantastic not following through on promises? What a shocker!

Butterymuffin · 23/12/2020 09:40

I will use it as an overnight mask. I have a few and like them. I'm fine with Avant though they're not one of my favourite brands, and they do appear frequently at very inflated notional prices in subscription boxes.

OchonAgusOchonO · 23/12/2020 09:50

@Butterymuffin - do you put it on post moisturiser or just not moisturiser if you're using the mask? I've never used one of them before.

Butterymuffin · 23/12/2020 10:07

I swap it for whatever else I'd be putting on at night @OchonAgusOchonO

OchonAgusOchonO · 23/12/2020 10:17

Thanks. I'll give that a go.

AliceinBunniland · 23/12/2020 10:24

I'm happy with today's

Sounds like one to wear overnight

SickRose · 23/12/2020 19:04

Happy with today's! I've used their moisture surge overnight treatment before and love it, especially the scent. Hoping this one will be as good. Actually now that I think about it, was that from last years LF calendar?

OchonAgusOchonO · 24/12/2020 08:38

A brow pencil today. The colour is good for me but I already have a couple on the go. I'm not great at remembering to put it on though Grin

AliceinBunniland · 24/12/2020 09:46

I'm happy with a brow pencil but not sure what the colour is like as there seem to be two colour swatches near the end, one much warmer and one much cooler. I will try it though.

Paloooza · 24/12/2020 11:03

Very happy with the brow pencil - finally something I may actually buy in real life!

Butterymuffin · 24/12/2020 16:49

The colour won't work for me, so for posters who like this item, it'll be going on the swap thread. I know that's been quiet so far but personally I plan to list things there on Boxing Day, in between eating leftovers in my pyjamas.

I’ll use this brow pencil but don’t really think it’s great choice for a Christmas Eve item!

I have the hydrating mask from last year too sickrose so there’s a good chance it’s from last year’s LF calendar.
